Basically all they have to do is start the game (since they're automatically logged in when the game starts)...so an in-game message wouldn't really be needed.

@net: glad to see it finally updated for you. The XML file, which is itself "the feed", updated instantly when I uploaded the mp3 last night and hasn't changed since, so I'm not sure why it took your program so long to catch up. Maybe a caching issue or something.
Weird. The new podcast was in the RSS for me as soon as I uploaded the mp3 last night. It also appeared instantly in iTunes, which uses the RSS to grab the episode list. As SYT said, you can test the feed by opening the RSS link in a browser: you'll see the new episode is right there at the top...
