Well some really bad news today on The Pinball Show. Worse than I thought. Not only will the new game be delayed, but it won’t even be out until next year! Probably March for early access and not until Summer 2022 for full release and on consoles. At least they added the previous gen consoles...
Aw geez...now I have come across another problem. So I noticed there was a new “one ball challenge” event for Theatre of Magic and I went to play it. After a few games it became clear that it wasn’t even saving my scores to the leaderboard. In fact, going into the leaderboard itself revealed...
I am sad I did not know about this place and never got to visit. Probably even drove past it. (sigh).
Pinball is such a rough business to keep going. I can’t even count the number of places that used to have pinball but now don’t. Even some local theme parks and miniature golf courses no...
I am not sure there will ever be a sale on that app anymore. Considering it uses the old game engine that Zen has moved away from, I wouldn’t really expect anything more from that app. On iOS devices, Zen has shifted their focus to Apple Arcade. That is pretty clear. Once they work some of the...
On my phone with a game controller connected. That’s the only way I can really play currently as the Apple TV version is a real problem right now (outlined in earlier comments above) and touch control on my phone is unreliable for left flipper. But a game controller works like a champ thankfully.
Well, it’s not like we haven’t known this would be the case all year. I’m actually surprised that Pinball Party was even released ahead of FX. And I never expected FX until November at the earliest. So that will mean next November at the earliest for Steam. Not sure about timing of game consoles...
Wow. I just had quite the achievement on Attack From Mars. I got not only my highest score on Pinball Party, but my highest score EVER on ANY platform including the real life arcade! And saw and heard things I never had before. I guess I have never completed all the cities before. (I love...
Indeed. I wish Zen would understand that. They really didn’t handle things well. And putting things on plaforms that some in the existing community don’t even have access to is rather ridiculous. I mean really, does Zen expect every Android user in the pinball community to go out and buy an...
Considering the length of time, I don’t think I would be happy with anything less than 3 WMS packs. I want to see Pinbot. I want to see Catcus Jacks. Firepower or Gorgar would be nice. Or how about Flash, which was never done by Farsight and was a landmark achievement when it was released being...
UPDATE TIME:
So this week Zen released un updated new version of the app to fix the crashing on Williams Pinball tables. So that’s the good news.
But now the bad....they didn’t fix any of the other bugs and worse seem to have introduced some new ones that I was not encountering before...
I guess they decide this based on the kind of device. Because on my Apple TV it’s (by necessity) in landcape mode. So it’s not like the capability is not there.
Definitely Unreal. Not only because of the logo on screen, but the fonts are different, the ball looks different, the lighting is...
So more playtime has returned some curious good news/bad news results:
Unlike earlier in the day, tonight I played many games of Attack From Mars and it did not crash. BUT there was now a new problem. Even when the Zen extra animations were turned off (and SAID they were off) they would still...
UPDATE: It crashes on my Apple TV too in the exact same way. I am not even going to bother trying it on the Mac computer as I would have to update to a new OS just to even run Apple Arcade there, and I don’t want to do that right now. So there you have it...out of the gate day one and already...
Okay first impressions:
1. Upon starting, the game throws you into playing Adventure Land. But once you are done with that you can play all other tables...no unlocking anything.
2. Fonts are different for the points earned animations as you are playing. This is a good thing as they are much...
It’s out now. But holy heck, it’s not a small app. 3.2 gigabytes! Making it larger than any other app I have on my device!!! And with “more to come”, I guess it will be getting even bigger as time goes on. Yikes.
Well, not until one year after release on Epic. So the clock hasn’t even started yet on Steam. Meaning most of 2022 will be a wash too for Steam players. I guess I will devote time to my other Steam games instead.
