Excellent job Jeff!
It was really great to hear that they already have the next year and a half planned out which means the product definitely has some legs as far as getting a steady stream of new content into the future goes. Hopefully their Android sale goes well and they can bank a little...
Definitely would love to see this one in TPA! Played it up at The Pinball Wizard Arcade and loved the feel of instant multiball and how the balls feel like motocross bikes.
I think the fact that in PinWiz's latest update there is an 'XBox 360 TBA' note for the release date on each of the table packs bodes well as they probably wouldn't allow him to put that there if they were thinking there is a possibility that 360 support would be stopping.
Why would they though? They already have all of the tables done for the 360. It would seem silly to have nothing left but distribution and then decide to not release them and earn some money.
Even though I've played all of the tables a bit on my Android tablet, I don't feel like I can give them a fair shot until they come out on the 360, so I'm just going to rank the ten that are out for now and come revisit this when the glorious day comes that the 360 gets caught up (or close to...
I have barely touched Pinball FX since TPA came out, but this will definitely get me back (assuming they also are releasing these tables on the 360).
I really hope that this doesn't mean that Farsight won't be able to get the rights to the Data East Star Wars pin if they choose to go that...
Wonder what they mean by 'a few release issues' in the following statement:
"FarSight still has a few release issues to work through before releasing the new version of The Pinball Arcade on the Xbox 360. "
I'm happy that they're giving us information, but the (I'm sure necessary) cryptic...
Here's the things I'd like to see:
1 - Fix reported bugs. After all is said and done, the playability of the tables is most important.
2 - Implement GI lighting where possible
3 - Add some randomness to play, especially in scoop releases
4 - Add a free roam camera mode as a standard part of...
Some great tables in that list that I'd LOVE to see in TPA! Out of the top 18, the only ones I don't remember ever seeing or getting a chance to play are The Party Zone, Safe Cracker and Swords of Fury, but from what people have said here on the forums those ones sound really good too.
Well it's been over a month since we got the newsletter with the announcement of a new publisher and this thread was started, and unfortunately we still don't know any more than we did at that time. I'd love to hear SOMETHING, even if it's just a small little morsel to get us by until we...
Dan Amrich, who is a community guy at Activision (basically their Major Nelson) tweeted about supporting TPA on Steam a few days back. Unfortunately it wasn't enough to give it a push for the latest round, but since he has over 20K followers we'll hopefully see some kind of bump:
Dan Amrich...
I got an ASUS TF300T tablet for Christmas and I'm quite happy with it so far. It's got a Tegra 3 chip in it as well and from what I've had a chance to play thus far, TPA runs and looks great on it. It looks like they're running about $350 now which is a great deal for a higher end 10 inch...
