Interesting reading the early thoughts on the tables, I'm looking forward to trying them. The Droids comparison worries me a bit, not a fan of that table. The driving video mode doesn't look great either, wish they wouldn't bother with these personally.
A stupid question:
How do I get the update? I'm a Kickstarter backer (and not a PC gamer as you might have guessed!) Do I HAVE to install Steam?
Thanks
Nicely put and I totally agree. While there are certain things I would love to change about Zen's tables I realise we all have different opinions on what they should and should not be doing. I'd personally love them to be just a little bit more like real pins but I'm a pinball fan who loves real...
You obviously care about Zen tables and I can appreciate some of your points. Remember they are quite a small studio creating all these tables from scratch, I think there's over 60 available now and they have been going for a relatively short time.
I think just moving flippers slightly further...
Got the update, glad they've added vibration now but it could be much better. Every ball hit gives full vibration no matter what, there's no subtlety so it doesn't add to the experience for me. Sad face.
Can at last play T2 on my PS4 which is great although it highlights the difference...
My favourite out of just those is Ant-Man. Rebels is a lot of fun but there are far better Star Wars tables available. All the others a worth a play, you're thoughts about Castle Storm getting old quickly are correct, one of my least favourite of all the Zen tables.
Yeh looks like modes stack, should be fun. I've seen the ball go down to the underneath playfield but by the time the player has realised what's happening it has drained back to the main playfield! Looks interesting though.
Hmm I'm a bit worried about the PYM multiball jackpots too, some huge...
Oooh, nicely put. Couldn't agree more. I'm hoping the PS4 version will at least bring me a reminder of what it's like in real life, much as I love this iPad version it does lack the flashes and bangs.
My first impressions are that they have really done a great job, I'm loving it. It's actually a challenge too which can't be said of a lot of TPA tables.
Roll on the PS4 release
Thanks for the video PiN WiZ, looks so good already. Is there a reason this video isn't listed on Youtube? Couldn't find it when I searched for it earlier.
Long time lurker, thought it was about time I registered here so I can join in the fun. I'm from Suffolk in the UK, big fan of all things pinball including The Pinball Arcade, Zen Pinball and I'm proud to be a backer of Timeshock! Loving that at the moment on my iPad :)
Plan to own a real pin...
