So I find myself wondering; Is it just me, or -
- The HUD in Circus Voltaire appears to be 'off by default, despite my turning it on every time I play this table.
- The ball appears to be drawn to the outlanes, as in whenever the ball hits a post on either outlane, much more often, then not...
I recently updated my 27" iMac (Late 2013) to Mac OS X Sierra, and not only does TPA run, but so far (2 days running now) the slowdown problem seems to have gone away!
You may want to wait just a bit longer, to get a couple of other reports to verify my findings, but I've not (yet) had any...
That's great news, thanks!:D
(On an unrelated note - I sent an email to a specific individual at FarSight about a week or so ago (2/25), about a project I'm working on, and have yet to hear so much as an acknowledgement that said email was received. I hate to ask, but might this be something...
Okay, this may seem like a strange request, but on the non-Mac versions of TPA, what are the key bindings (as in, what controls are available to be configured)?
Okay, so I'm not sure if this is a TPA wide issue, or a Mac issue, but of late I've been playing more of the Electro-Mechanical (EM) tables, and I've noticed something a little odd.
Perhaps I'm simply remembering it wrong, but didn't the animation for the score used to have the numbers roll...
The other night, I updated to OSX 10.11.1
I'm still waiting for the app store release of the newest TPA, but the couple of games I've played since updating to 10.11.1 do not yet appear to be having the slowdown issue.
It may be too early to tell yet, but has anyone else updated to 10.11.1 yet...
While certain issues related to performance are being addressed, I was wondering what other features we might like to see implemented in the Mac version of TPA.
Please note that 1) I have little to no experience with other platform versions of TPA, and so some of my feature wishlist items may...
For me, the intermittent slowdown issue occurs not only during gameplay (any table), but during the table selection process as well (scrolling through games becomes slower, and the pulsing glow behind the selected table drops in framerate as well). Even before gameplay begins, as the camera is...
First and foremost, a personal and public "Thank You" to FlippyFloppy for acknowledging the issue, and letting us know that it is, in fact, being addressed.
Second, working from a "Better to light a single candle, than curse the darkness" standpoint, what, if anything, can we as end users in...
Although the problem (Intermittent slowdown), and it's workaround/solution (change display settings, then change them back to their original settings) have been widely reported, the problem appears to have reasserted itself with the release of OSX 10.11, and the solution no longer appears to...
The other day I thought I'd take look at some of the options available to me under the Pro Menu for Space Shuttle.
Whenever I attempt to access the feature, however, I'm told that the system is 'Unable to establish a network connection'. (I bought the pro version of this table)
Other tables...
Well, as long as you're looking...
It would appear that using the shifter (spacebar) toggles the camera mode from 'scrolling' to 'locked' and back again...
On my system (using the App Store Version), the crash only appears to be occurring with Safe Cracker, on exit, when I'm logged in to my account. Logging out appears to prevent the crash, but any achievements are eliminated when I log back in...:(
As a troubleshooting measure, I deleted the table, and reinstalled, without success... TPA still crashes upon completing a game of Safe Cracker.
Crash log is as follows -
Process: PinballArcade [22185]
Path...
I just got the App Store version of Safe Cracker, and while it plays correctly, once the game is over, hitting the 'Continue' button appears to cause TPA to crash.
I can post the crash report, if this will help, but I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem...
I've noticed two problems so far...
1) The Skill Shot corridor appears to have some problems with gravity/friction, making the desired center target next to impossible to achieve (FWIW, Bride of PinBot has a similar issue, but not as bad).
2) Many of the custom balls are invisible on this table.
It occurred to me that in addition to the custom ball setup for each table, I also have the camera set to 'Locked', and the angle set to 'High (3)'
Again, this is for all tables.
Dirty Frank - If you could, try those settings, and see if it makes a difference
Well, Nutbunnies...:(
I'm now getting a consistent framerate, and the only thing I changed (as far as I can tell) were the custom ball settings.
Well, it was worth a shot... I had hoped I had found a fix...:(
