I voted for ten, but tried to make sure they were machines I'd really want to play. Some of them are quite uninspired to be sure. Where's the new Stern poll - or are we abandoning any hope of older Sterns appearing again? It would be a shame as Catacombs and others looked really promising.
The HMV at The Fort shopping centre on the M8 has two or three machines. Last time I was there they had Avengers and Metallica tables. What is up with HMV and pinball - they do that in other ones?
Not much love for Elektra, eh? That looks like a great table! Unsurprisingly my choices are mainly late-70s to early-80s. Bally has a nice vibe in that era, but I also gave Matari Hari the nod for the jingle bells and targets.
It means "Make Wizard goals achievable after Standard goals within the same game, DAMMIT FARSIGHT!" I suppose it would be more correct to say "in parallel with" and the last couple of words and the bang at the end are mine.
I'll go out on a limb and assume you're talking about getting 180s on the clock. I did over 80 ONCE and thought, "yeah, nailed it!" only to re-read the goal. How is that a standard one? I have many times had a stellar first game or game pre-standard goals. Last wizard goal for Firepower is the...
Totally. This was the first season where a season pass was offered before it started so I did jump on it, but previously I bought every pack released and I'm not the kind of person to spite myself to make a point...
If Bluetooth is the issue I cannot see why it wouldn't be a problem with MFI controllers as well because I can't see how else they'd be talking to your iOS device.
The Wii was far and away the biggest selling console of the last generation. Some people like to pretend it wasn't a real gaming console for whatever reason, but the fact is that it was profitable for Nintendo from day one, unlike either the Xbox 360 or the PS3, both of which took years to break...
If it can run on Playstation or Xbox it could run on Wii U - I have no doubt of that. I find it easier to believe it's just a time/reward issue and they don't think it's worth investing the time. It's their choice and I'm not going to second guess them.
@francis247uk I too am surprised at how many platforms they're hitting and given they've only favoured Nintendo with a couple of disc releases in the past there's no precedent for them to publish on the Wii U.
I'm perfectly happy playing Pinball Arcade on my iPad, but I did like the idea of...
Except you're still talking an install base of millions with an uncrowded shop and only one other pinball offering: Zen 2. Unless you're going to tell me it's a massive effort to port to the Wii U it seems worth it to me even if only %10 of Wii U owners give it a try. The bar to entry is really...
I was quite pleased that I only played through each table once (all I found time for) and placed in the top %10 for a promotion after just missing it last time.
Has to be Black Knight and I was too small to play it really. This would have been just before video games took over the world as I seem to recall a Death Race game was in the same arcade along with Atari Sprint (the original black-and-white) top-down racer.
Other possible candidates are Eight...
After watching a video of this machine in action I too would love to see it hit the Arcade.
So little love for Cyclone disappoints me. One of my strongest pinball memories alongside Pinbot is hearing "Ride the Ferris Wheel!" - Cyclone is iconic as far as I'm concerned. Cyclone and Eight Ball...
