Yes I am, I just live here and carry a red passport too!
And I mean it, I really could care less - I have a sliding scale on the lessening of my caring about things :-)
I'm really surprised Cyclone is rating so poorly compared to the other two, but I'm going to stick with it regardless.
And I really could care less about licensed machines - there's plenty of great original tables out there!
Some of them look nice, but the physics are rubbish (ball moves way too fast) or they're video style which I find takes a lot of the fun out of it.
Pachinko Palooza is the real deal: nice, classic Pachinko game with a high score table and difficulties instead of redemption prizes. Loads of...
Ah well, I tried it and it is windowboxed. A controller would still be worth it to me for the console game collections, but for big-screen TPA it's going to be Wii U or bust!
Have a good time Jared, but mind that when I lived there in the mid-90s, that part of Mission Street was a bit sketchy. During the day you'll be fine, though I'm sure. There used to be a nice Indian market with exotic Indian ice cream by the scoop on Valencia between 16th and 17th I think...just...
I lived in San Francisco for a few years in three different neighbourhoods including the Mission District and Fisherman's Wharf (literally around the corner from pier 49).
There are two places I have to frequent when I go to San Francisco: Pancho Villa taqueria which is the best burrito joint...
iPad exclusively. I originally purchased this on Mac, but I don't like playing pinball with keyboard keys and it appears that the same assets being used for iOS are also being used for the OS X version.
The analogue interface provided by the touch screen is a perfect fit in my mind, however if...
Well that review does give me pause. It's an early entry; hopefully we'll see more (and more reasonably-priced) controllers in the future. Incidentally I've yet to launch TPA with the iPad hooked up to the TV. Does the code support external screens (like the Video app) or will I end up with...
I like the interface fine, but the crashing in Safari and music sync issues on my iPhone have been quite annoying.
Hopefully 7.1 fixes this stuff, but it's long overdue.
I don't see why not, Zen has sold Star Wars pinball as a standalone app on at least one platform. Pinball After Dark could be seen as a means of testing the waters certainly.
Apparently there's actually four according to this 2013 BBC article http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-21200001: Heighway Pinball in the UK and Quetzal in Spain.
I was aware of Heighway (though not their HUD and playfield LCD features), but not Quetzal. Now if I could only play any of these...
It's a bit pricey, but it would mean I'd actually play stuff like my Atari, Activision and Vectrex Anthologies. Thanks for flagging this and thanks for supporting it Farsight!
I'd like to see a pachinko collection myself. I find something quite satisfying about video pachinko games, but you'd need to have virtual toys to trade in your winnings for or it would be like gambling ;-)
