I just updated to get the new table. Now, other than flipper and mechanical sounds, I can't get any sound effects on any table! This is on my Nexus 7.

I had a pretty good run on Kingpin. It was fun. Hitting either of the ramps was not too difficult.
I also got to try Big Bang Bar, which folks seem to rave about. It was pretty good, but I guess I'd need to spend more time with it to see why people love it. I did not get to play Hobbit or...
If you're in the San Jose, CA, area. You should come out to California Extreme this weekend!

My favorite event of the year!

What the heck! I never got an email from Farsight and I didn't even know this tournament existed! Completely missed it! Did I need to be at a higher level TAF Kickstarter backer? I pledged $50.
I love TAF, but I have to go with Attack From Mars. I spent so much time with this table IRL in grad school and got all the angles down perfectly, and now I've done the same in TPA. If I had an opportunity to own a real table, it would be hard to choose between TAF and AFM.
Starship Troopers is bad. I didn't have the patience to even try to get a good score on it in the last tournament. And I know that this discussion is about hard tables, but Goin' Nuts is both bad and hard. I still haven't gotten that 150 (or 180?) seconds standard goal.

I guess that leads me to ask what people think is the best current 7 inch Android tablet. I find that the Nexus 7 is almost perfect for TPA, so I'd like to go with another 7 inch tablet. Any chance Google will actually get back into this space at Google I/O next week?

Goin' Nuts. Absolutely. There's a reason why it was never released, and the reason is that it's terrible. If I had to pick a released table, I'd have to go with Safecracker. Pinball relies on skill, not luck, and that stupid board game is all luck. Wasn't that why there was a ban on pinball...
Very interesting. Is this the thread you're referring to: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2428133
I'm not sure I want or need to go through with this, considering I had some of my best games of the tournament yesterday with it flipped upside down (over 4B in CFtBL)!

I love playing TPA on my 2013 Nexus 7. However, I've noticed that sometimes, especially when I'm in a multiball, most recently with Creature from the Black Lagoon, if I'm holding a ball on the left flipper, shooting a ball from the right flipper doesn't happen and I lose the ball. This has...
I wrote about this with my Nexus 7: http://digitalpinballfans.com/showthread.php/11369-Slowdowns-with-latest-version
I didn't think it was due to an OS update since I only started seeing issues with the latest TPA update (Rescue 911).

OK, then the instructions for this table are incorrect. Some of those jackpots were hit on the lock hole, not the ER, a much easier shot IMO. Also, the instructions say the jackpot increases by hitting the left lane, but in the video, it was increasing just by getting jackpots. Hmm.
