Funny thing is that I just posted about this table on facebook before seeing this thread. I played it recently and I hope it will eventually make it to Pinball Arcade.
and there are some tables like Eight Ball Deluxe, if it comes, that are sequels and could possibly launch without the original coming out (the original is the late 70s SS, Eight Ball, which is from the same designer and known to be an extremely mean table).
It's true. The 360 Medieval Madness and Bride of Pinbot were at the Texas pinball festival and had dynamic lighting different from the four initial tables. Farsight posted a video up of the DLC tables on youtube (which on facebook, they said it was from 360, not PS3 like the other video). Here's...
I think you may be confusing Gottlieb's Spirit of 76 with the unrelated Micro Games table that has the same name. The Gottlieb table is definiltey EM.
Micro Games Spirit of 76
Gottlieb Spirit of 76
I definitely would like to see Judge Dredd, which came out two years before the movie and is based on the comics (ipdb says that it is based on the comics and nothing suggests it's based on the movie). I found out that Rebellion owns the license when I looked up information to see who owns it...
I just got the Pinball Gold Pack from gog. It was worth it, but, while it plays ok, the physics in the PC Pinball Dreams are definitely off. I heard from a post from the developer at the Coyboy Rodeo (company that did the iOS remake) forums the Amiga one uses the same physics as Fantasies, but...
I know John Popadiuk actually commented on a few posts on the TPA facebook page. I'm not sure what he thinks of the game, though.
I don't remember specifics, but when I was looking at tables on the visual pinball forums, I noticed at least one of the tables credited the designer of the real...
Doh. The ROM emulation thing was in reference to support for SS machines, not EMs. I tried the demo for Microsoft Pinball Arcade, but I wasn't impressed with the physics. Flippers seemed smaller than expected and angles seemed off. Maybe the EMs fare better since the engine seems to be designed...
I wonder if that Future Pinball Bride of Pinbot is a special version where she sings Shania Twain. ;)
Seriously, though, I think that the iPad 2 versions shown look better overall. The funny thing is while VP is capable of better physics than FP, there are actually a couple tables I like better...
I would like to see a view of the plunger meter like on many other games rather than the view of the plunger itself. It's something on real tables and would make it a lot easier to judge plunger strength.
The meter is shown in this video of Microsoft Pinball Arcade, but many other pinball...
I understand this thread is for the latest Android bulid, but I was saying there should be a thread for other versions too since some of the bugs mentioned in the threads for the games haven't been fixed. Also, there hasn't been a confirmation that this bug isn't in the latest Android build.
Some bugs have been reported in the threads for individual games. Is there going to be a thread for other platforms too? I reported that the bottom playfield background whoosh sound is missing on Black Hole a while ago for iOS and it still isn't in the iOS or Xbox versions. It's a minor thing...
It's your opinion, but I personally find it a bit disrespectful to see EM used as a random insult. They are more simple, but I like them quite a bit after learning the simple, but challenging rule sets of a few of them. Also, why even go for a Gottlieb collection, if you don't like games like...
I would like to see the operator menu, or at least a settings menu to adjust the settings with the same settings that the real machines use. Various arcade compilations had options settings, so I don't see why Pinball Arcade can't.
