When you look at the early promo what really stands out as being unrealistic is the look of the ball. It doesn't look real at all and it totally spoils the look of the game. But this just illustrates Farsight's best facet and that is they listen to the fans. It wasn't long after this where...
Being a developer myself I love hearing all the techy stuff :)
But Lettuce surely you agree that testing a Pinball game is tougher than other software where there is a lower number of permutations of possible sequences of events Things just aren't always easy to reproduce.
Plus bear in mind...
I loved (and still love) them all, but The Web is something special because I remember I used to play The Epic Pinballs, Pinball Illusions, etc, and when I saw The Web for the first time it was like Video Pinball had time travelled 10 years into the future. It really was like having a real...
It's very impressive that they pretty much nailed it 18 years ago by themselves with no input from fan forums, etc. That is why I am excited to see what they can do now - I noticed the publisher they have teamed up with is owned by one of the original Pro pinball devs so that means it will be...
Thanks to pinwiz for today's major news update:

For this item:
'FarSight will be submitting The Pinball Arcade for Windows 8 very soon...
I honestly can say there is nothing for me that is that huge a deal. There are lots of nice to haves, and in time they will get done. If Farsight stop everything and spent 3 months doing the small little things that keep getting raised, the revenue would probably slow down so much they won't...
I know that- just what is your problem? I just commented that is good to see a video with them turned off, because in just about every other video they are on.
What do people think about the duration of the Kickstarter? Wouldn't it make sense to go for a 2 month session rather than 1 month period. It will take time to spread the word to as many of the million+ people that bought the original tables in the 90s.
Here are just few ideas for some of the questions that might be able to be bounced off the answers Bobby gives....
For the 'improved mechanical sounds'. Some sounds that could be enhanced or added are the mechanical scores resetting in EMs at the start of a game, the flipper hum, better...
Actually when I read the title of this thread in the PC section I knew exactly what it was about. I posted this:
http://digitalpinballfans.com/showthread.php/3498-PC-release-for-Kickstarter-Supporters
and didn't get a response. I don't like complaining because I love what the Farsight guys are...
Last year some of us heard a couple of long radio interviews with Bobby up to 45 mins each where he answered dozens of questions. These regular 'just 5 questions' session are great, but is there a possibly to have a longer session with Bobby which could be recorded so no one needs to type up...
Someone posted a video of the Star Wars tables running in a cabinet under Windows8. I am not much of a Star Wars fan but they do look good. Nice lighting effects -hopefully PA will look as good on the PC platform.
a lot of speculation there. Sounds like you would have him hung without any evidence of a crime. I know there are a lot of dodgy people about but would someone with an solid software development resume really want to tarnish it for an amount of money that probably equates to about 3 years...
I don't know why some people always want to think that they must have been up to no good. The kickstarter may have been a way to save the company, and it would have kept that room full of young developers we saw into the video in work. If that was the case Adrian work damned hard from what I...
