I'm still turned off by the censorship on PS4... and not a single table that wasn't in TPA... and no licensed tables yet. With Zen focused on Williams remakes, they haven't released any original tables for over a year either (Solo pinball pack was released one year ago this week). Disappointing.
I first played Ghostbusters at a pinball expo shortly after it was released. The scream was LOUD, even over the noise of 100+ pinball/arcade games in the room. Every time someone triggered the scream there was a brief pause in crowd conversation... people trying to decide if it was a real...
It's also been 11 months since Zen released the Solo pack for Pinball FX3. So, it's been almost a year since the last 'new' tables from either company... at this point I'd be happy if Farsight announced a Gottlieb 2-pack.
Been playing some more and I do still get notifications for passing friends' scores... but only if I pass a friend who was ahead of me on the leaderboards. Before this update I'd get endless notifications every time I passed every friend's highest score. Since I'm 1st among my friend list on...
The cross-buy conditions listed in the Zen blog post were correct at the time. I purchased one of the Marvel tables (Civil War) for ZP2 and it didn't unlock in Marvel Pinball so I had to re-purchase the Marvel Pinball version. All my other tables were purchased in Marvel Pinball first and...
The Stern LE variations are only in SPA... they're not available in TPA.
Also, except for Mustang, I don't think the LEs really change anything. Different backglass, cabinet color, and the designer's autograph at the bottom of the playfield. Mustang also changes the playfield artwork and car...
Yup, they're only in SPA. I've been researching these recently to decide whether to buy before AC/DC is delisted... assuming the LE 'upgrades' will be delisted at the end of June also.
It looks like the only difference in the AC/DC, Star Trek Vengeance, and Ghostbusters LEs is the...
Even though it's just a couple different backglasses and minor changes to the playfield/cannon graphics and color scheme, I'm going to grab the LEs before they vanish.
For PS4, they're available on the psn store but you have to search for 'limited edition'. The LEs don't show up as add-ons...
Someone from Farsight mentioned that they're working on a digital version for a Stern table that hasn't been released yet. Best guess is that it's Elvira 3. No official announcements from Farsight about any future pinball plans though.
Zen & Stern teased a collaboration with a twitter post...
I'm not a fan of the Zen enhancements, but changing the boxer's face would be a case where it makes sense... hopefully they'll add a progression of opponents.
PA season 4 was cross-buy between PS3/Vita & PS4 for me also, and I have the tables installed on all three platforms. As long as all of the S4 table packs are in your PSN download list for each platform I don't think there's any issue on the PSN ownership side.
I've never tried the demo version...
Are the unlocks stored locally on the device or are they tied to the zen server? ie If you disconnect wifi do you lose access to your unlocked parts/tables?
Hopefully the error reports will give enough info so Tom can fix all variations of the crash with the next patch. I have no problem being patient and letting him resolve as many issues as possible before testing/releasing an update. If it's stable, we probably won't see another PS4 update for a...
