It would still be better than just another pack of 10-15 tables released on a disc.
... but hopefully we get at least another year or two of support with lots of improvements, yeah?
Pinball Circus isn't really all that great, though. It's a big gimmick and not much fun to play... still, I guess it would be neat to digitally preserve it.
That's a Kickstarter that I wouldn't support... though if they wanted to do it, they could probably get Tim Arnold to lend them his...
If they had gotten this out in a timely manner, I'd have ended up buying every table. Now? I'm waiting for the PS4 version. The announced features and improvements are worth the wait. So, in that sense, I'm kind of happy that it has taken so long.
Mobile versions are enough until PS4.
Well, I can safely say that Central Park is the first table in the collection that I straight up dislike... but meh. It came with Cactus Canyon and it's $5. No regret.
Really good stuff. We seem to get a lot more info in an audio interview!
Was really hoping you would ask about Scared Stiff after BK and CV... that game also requires tweaking before it will be fully enjoyable. It's just too damn easy. Next time?
It's decided. I'm skipping the Wii U version entirely and waiting for PS4... guess I'm sacrificing my Kickstarter tables but whatever.
3D support sounds pretty excellent. The depth really helps pinball tables look great. If that is a feature in the PS4 version, I might have to get some sort of...
I'm actually doing horrible on the table so far... one of those rare cases where I feel like I'm actually better in real life. Maybe I'm just not in the pinball zone right now though.
Would be nice. After reading about the changes they have in store for the PS4 version, I've decided to skip the Wii U version entirely and patiently wait... but if the PS3 tables transferred, then I could go ahead and enjoy them now!
I understand if that isn't the case, however, and I'm patient...
Yeah, it's the most disappointing table in the collection to me. I love Scared Stiff... it gets quarters from me every single time that I go to the pinball museum out here. The Pinball Arcade version, however, feels nothing like the real thing. It's so easy that the whole experience is...
There were rumors that this Kinect 2 is supposed to be so advanced that it can read facial expressions... and the voice recognition is substantially improved. We will see if that is true.
I don't write off any of these technologies, as you never know what interesting uses can be found for them...
Yup, I agree that the PS3 was all about getting Bluray players into homes to defeat HDDVD. I would guess that this was ultimately a good, profitable move for Sony as a whole. They stumbled a bit on PS3 as a result, but I doubt they hurt their image or consumer trust too significantly. If PS4...
Yeah, I like variety. Variety is good.
As far as negotiating for other tables... any reason to believe this should be a problem? No other developers are interested in making pinball recreations for profit right now. Why wouldn't Bally/WMS want the revenue?
I wonder how much longer Farsight...
Yup. Scared Stiff is not a forgiving machine in real life. I've never once filled the Stiff-o-meter, let alone had a game last for 45 minutes. The easiness of the TPA version cheapens the whole experience of the table... it's not even exciting to get to the wizard mode as it happens so often. I...
I just went ahead with the reinstall and everything is good now, but I appreciate it! I guess it will be kind of fun starting with a fresh slate. Hah.
It probably has to do with the fact that I tried to restore app data to pre-beta using some app from Asus... which obviously broke something...
Makes me wonder if I should pass on Wii U and get it for PS4 launch. I'm unimpressed that there is no offscreen play and I dislike the way Nintendo links content purchases to a single console rather than an account.
If tables purchased for PS3 transfer over to PS4 with all additional upgrades...
