TBH Im surprised by both this and CBW considering my distaste for (early) Gottlieb. Digging into the instructions currently to figure out the ruleset. Challenging table as well.
I agree with all of what's been said:
-it's clear where MS really wants to go and their hand was forced by a company that listens or at least is trying to listen to gamers (to get the most profit out of it's business mind you, they are definitely not an altruistic business, but still that...
I don't think keeping your old machine next to your new machine is generally counted as backwards compatibility. It's not any more backwards compatible then putting both a One and a 360 on a HDMI splitter. It's like saying you could hook in a PS4 as well, and claiming your Xbone can play PS4...
Don't get me wrong, I love my 360 as my current gen "crossplatform" machine for games like Bioshock, Skyrim etc, and I (used to) like what XBLA did.
However, I tend to like the Sony exclusives much more (Ratchet, GOW3, Everything Naughty Dog, Team ICO and turnbased (J)RPG's), so couple that...
499 US in the US
666 US in EU (holy mother of.....)
No way in hell I'm paying that for those exclusives. I hope Sony brings it's A-game later on, with leaner DRM, better exclusives and 50 to 100 bucks lower price. I might be in at holidays this year then...(although likely 18 months from now)
-No announced exclusive games that are interesting to me (something in the realm of RPG's, Bioshocklike shooters or Uncharted/Last of Us like Actionadventures)
-499 $ AND Euro
I'm completely out of Xbone until a HEFTY pricereduction hits or they get exclusives that are worth my while. And that...
Indeed, I didnt say that was a bad thing necessarily as long as Nintendo delivers (cause noone else will unfortunately), just commenting on its third party market. Noone is buying that thing for CoD or Madden (I hope).
In regards to the GC, it did have some great games to warrant the purchase...
Erm no, thats not how it works. Due to install base, the (cheap) legacy games and the negligible powerdifference, the market for 360 is exponentionally bigger than WiiU and therefor much more atttractive to (cheaply) develop games for. It's also why certain third party publishers don't even...
Not only parody of fantasy, but a parody on postmodernism, popculture, movies, fairytales and whatnot. They are awesome. I have read 90% of them, and the rest are on my shelf to read. Such a shame that he is suffering from slow onset Alzheimers.
My current readinglist contains:
Steven Erikson...
There are more people who want to pay for expansion tables on mobiles. Thats not necessarily me (because I do want to check every table out but the beta program gets me that fix) but I disagree: it makes perfect economic sense to bring in that constant mobile revenue while expanding slowly...
Yea. I'm completely over the fad.
I have a drumkit, 2 guitars and a microphone. "Unfortunately" they are in the basement and I sold off the discs ^^'...I should get rid of the hardware as well actually.
wow they tied? Weren they 1-3 behind? I figured that was done and over with...no way they would go 3 in a row against Detroit.
edit: wow and in pretty spectacular fashion too from the looks of it 2-1 behind in periode 3....
Yup, aiming for a new purchase around Christmas 2014 myself. Dust should have been settled enough by then to make the choice clearer (games, reliability, prices etc), I just like they way Sony is heading much more as it's more into my personal wheelhouse.
Basically supports my point, that all...
Agreed, I'm no FPS buff by any stretch of the imagination, yet I have a ton of games I can play that are both critical as well as commercial hits. Ni no Kuni, Dark Souls, Dragons Dogma, Tomb Raider, Skyrim. Heck just look at the link in my signature for 50 days(!) worth of nonFPS games (ok plus...
