I have it happen 100% on two separate devices if you follow this sequence...
1 start TPA.
2 press middle screen 'to start' app.
3 at splash screen pick either 'latest table' or 'last played' table if that was EBD.
4 notice alpha numeric display is blank.
5 press start (big button bottom...
You can tell in advance when it's not going to work as the the alpha numeric displays in the backbox remain blank.
Looks like the rom doesn't load or crashes.
The app has frozen too once, whilst entering high score initials in EBD.
At start of game, after pressing start, about 50% of games started, the game doesn't move to the plunger cam. It'll just pan about the table.
Devices - Samsung Note 4 & shield k1
I remember you saying you owned one. It has/had been stored a while though did you say?
If I got to choose one machine, it'd probably be a BK. There's one up for sale on uk eBay at the moment. It started at £950, but fell to £850 after no interest. It's apparently got one faulty bank of drop...
It is. In less technical terms, the 'update owned tables' feature has been a bit broken since its first addition.
On both my Shield K1, and Note4 for every time I press 'download owned' it says 'tx sector downloaded'. The last release caused me to have to download 64 tables (or whatever the...
The next press of the 'download owned tables' downloaded all 64 tables despite them already being downloaded.
Subsequent presses of the same button now say 'tx sector downloaded' again.
Pressing 'update all' says all tables up to date now.
Just updated, quite a few issues. Only played one game.
Table download owned - always tells me 'tx sector downloaded' for past few months each month. This release it downloaded two tables, but didn't tell me which.
Update tables - initially wanted to update 64tables, crashed in the middle of...
Sound is very broken in the current version. I've had several games across several tables where the mechanical sound effects remain and work, but the music sound track drops in and out. Playing a second or third game within one table often gives issues too with lack of controls being present and...
My first Android was a HTC Desire which wasn't compatible with TPA when it first released in 2012.
I used to modify the devices build.prop file each time a new table pack released each month so that the 'HTC Desire' thought it was a 'HTC Sensation' and allowed the install.
Used to run great on...
I didn't realise there were so many Android users and members here judging by the platforms previous thread activity.
It's been nice to see them all, even if it was just before they all spoke out to announce they were leaving :)
I currently own all tables on Android, so I'm not having the...
I first learned TPA was coming about 4mnths before the Feb 2012 release. I had no experience of Farsight not being a console player and couldn't wait to see this grow. I thought this would revolutionise and create a legal, easy to use alternative to the underground VP scene and would grow as the...
I think beta testing nowadays means Jared's had it since Tuesday.
Although what's the point in reporting stuff to them that never gets fixed.
It was a brave decision to theme the new ui and icons on 1990s website design. I really love the menu music setting that keeps on coming back even...
