According to this (rather rambling) YouTube video, the company was bought out to focus on the development of ... RPG Games!(?). Furthermore, there seems to an incentive clause in the agreement for the development of those types of games over the next 5 years. So this slow trickle of Virtual...
Actually, the price -- based on some YouTube vids -- will be $549 for the Marvel cab. I would think that "Attack From Mars" and "Star Wars" will be the same.
They verified the following:
* No WiFi
* Haptic Feedback and Accelerometer included.
* No info on the specific names of the included...
Just to be clear, the animated backglasses I was referring to are for the VPX tables; I haven't tried the new animated backglasses for FX3.
I may have to check those out this weekend!
The VPCabs Vertigo is a Windows-based cab. Licensed versions of the Zen FX3 tables are preinstalled. For newer FX3 tables, you just purchase them and download them via Steam.
Since the Vertigo is a two monitor cab, the upper monitor can just be used as a DMD (if you wish) so the backglass art...
I purchased the pack earlier today and it's now running on my VPCabs Vertigo.
"Funhouse" is very satisfying in both standard and enhanced modes. The bumper "light show" in the enhanced mode is particularly effective.
Happy Camper here! (Need to try out the the other two tables "soon".)
The really frustrating thing about all of this is the Kickstarters which were set up to help pay for licensed tables like "Star Trek: The Next Generation", "Terminator 2", "Adams Family", "Twilight Zone", et all.
I contributed to all of those Kickstarters and have access to the tables both on...
I have no insider knowledge whatsoever, but my opinion is that they are absorbed with the work required with "Arcade1Up" for the physical one-third size cabinets.
Three have been announced: "Williams", "Star Wars", and "Marvel" -- each of which will contain around 10 Zen tables; but none of...
Ha! I'm still waiting for "Spirit of '76" which they (apparently) still have the "rights" to.
It beats me as to why they haven't released any new Gottlieb tables. You'd think that they would at least want some additional tables for their Toyshock partnership!
Sure wish these were being released this week!
I’m taking some “use it or lose it” vacation time this week, but not really going anywhere due to the pandemic.
Anybody have any inkling as to the release date?
(Looking forward to removing “Funhouse” from my list below!)
I'm still hoping for "Revenge From Mars" which I really think they can do with animation on the table which is their forte'.
Granted, the animation will need to change based on various triggers, so there could be lots of memory overhead.
But I still think if anybody could do it, Zen can!
I’m preordering the “Attack From Mars” cab as soon as it’s available — even though I own a VPCabs Vertigo with the same Zen FX3 tables installed on it. I just really like the look of the (space saving) cabinet. And the promised “haptic feedback” combined with the accelerometer sounds...
How about this interview with the Arcade1Up CEO which was released on 02/27/2020?
He says “all three virtual pinball tables” will be released “by early 4th Quarter”. Other sources have mentioned preorders will start in late May / early June.
