Volume 6: Glitches and Slowdowns Galore

After having frame-rate issues with all PFX3 tables on Steam for about a year I switched to the PS4 version. No frame rate issues at all on the PS4. Two minor things on the PS4 version -dmd is too large for the alphanumeric games and the music volume is set too low and cannot be adjusted for...

    PS4 version?

Business as usual at Sony. Their North American division doesn't seem to like small developers. Just ask Farsight. If unavailable, then just ask Hamster Corporation (the Arcade Archives people).

    Williams Pinball Volume 6

What I'm looking forward to is FunHouse with Zen physics. Also a table that needed a fresh coat of paint being one of the earliest TPA releases. Dr. Dude-a complete love/hate table. Space Station was one of my top most wanted un-released tables in TPA. For some odd reason I love the music...

    Williams' Collection Volume 6 guesses

I'm all in for volume 6. Space Station was one of my more wanted tables in TPA. Although I won't say no to Funhouse (one of my personal faves)-hopefully it's not too easy as it was in TPA. #1 IN ALL WORLDS!

    PS4 version?

I'll play around with the customization options. If I like what I see, I'll start with buying the solid state pack. Thanks for the advice!

    PS4 version?

My first crash was at the menu. Second one was during a game of Space Shuttle. It crashed when I was playing it. Didn't even complete the game. Looks very washed out compared to PC, but still plays well when not crashing.

    Williams' Collection Volume 6 guesses

Well I'm sure they've had to deal with Coronovirus just like everyone else-and thus may have had to cut back on personnel working there. Purely speculative I know. To Zen's credit, they are redoing so many early-TPA tables that have needed remastering.

Jack*Bot Who Dunit? Cactus Canyon Correct me if I'm wrong, but these should be the last of the "unlicensed" DMDs. Hopefully Zen will have enough leverage to eventually license tables like TZ, ST:TNG, and Indiana Jones. (Long shot, I know) Not sure how Indy 500 licensing would be-Farsight did...

    Williams' Collection Volume 5 guesses

I especially think Cactus Canyon would benefit the most from the Zen treatment-since it's such a rare table IRL and got digitized early in the run of TPA. If it does hopefully Zen can include the rare "complete" rom. Not holding my breath though! I've been playing a lot more PFX3 lately-MB...

When will the next Pinball Arcade table be released?

I wasn't taking it that way in the least. In a "better to be lucky than good" sort of way, I was buying TPA content from the day it was introduced-in 2012. Game programming and design has come a long way in the last 7 years. It would be so nice to have those tables you've mentioned remade for...

When will the next Pinball Arcade table be released?

Welcome to Digital Pinball Fans Curratum! Most of the Stern/Zen talk has just been speculation so far. And I'm not sure that when Gary Stern steps aside (rumored to be within the next year), Stern will be as on board with a digital partnership. But anything can happen and Zen has proved...

    Williams' Collection Volume 5 guesses

I know we're getting two more tables already done in TPA-but these are two more that can use a serious overhaul from what the TPA versions were. Great choice of tables and hopefully they'll fix what was wrong with Williams pack 4 in the process. Our retro arcade got the CGC version of MB...

    Williams' Collection Volume 5 guesses

MB and CftBL with PFX3 treatment-mandatory! Hopefully with fixes for the other tables-like white water's music and inability to hit ramps in White Water and Road Show. I'm horrible at Hurricane IRL and I can hit both ramps in the PFX3 version easily. Whereas I can hit ramps easily on Road...

Your evaluation of Zen Williams Pinball year 1

Overall, Zen has done a very commendable job giving the DMD-WMS tables the overhaul they've needed. All of the tables look great. Sounds are hit-and-miss (the latter definitely includes White Water) but at least BR finally has the full theme intact. The gameplay is a little more realistic and...

When will the next Pinball Arcade table be released?

Can't believe I forgot to include that one.....good call! :)

    Williams' Collection Volume 5 guesses

This is what happened with the PS4 version of TPA. Months between updates and fixes that still to this day remain untouched caused me to abandon it and go with the PC version of TPA. Although I don't know how the PS4 version of PFX3 stacks up against the PC version, I'm sure many digital...

    Williams' Collection Volume 5 guesses

I can understand not caring for them-we all have different preferences. But WH2O screwed up the sounds and music horribly. (The BGM is one of my all-time favorites in a pinball not named "Metallica") Ramps are near impossible to hit on both tables in PFX3. I'm not expecting TPA-ish ramp...

After what Zen did to WH2O and RS, a longer time-out may be necessary.

When will the next Pinball Arcade table be released?

    I wouldn't contribute to any future FarSight kickstarters. Twilight Zone-gone. ST:TnG-gone. T2-gone. Dr. Who-gone. AC/DC-gone.

Satisfied with price of digital pinballs? Willing to pay more? Less?

That was a kick to the grill. Konami had some true gems in Game Room. Unfortunately some got mangled by bad emulation. Now SNK 40th Anniversary-there is a huge compilation for anyone who knows the B.N.G.-era. (Before Neo-Geo, that is.) I think most prices for digital pinball is fair...
