Hello,
It has now been verified that the Google Play store is coming to Chrome OS devices, and in theory most Android apps should work without much modification. So it sounds like Pinball Arcade can be easily ported to a whole new platform - maybe just needing support for keyboard controls (not...
+1, definitely a good suggestion for a default.
I'd vote for making at least the control layout configurable - I realise the menus are getting pretty crowded, but if well organised I think you can stand having quite a lot of settings. And you'd only need two, as far as I see it - flipper zone...
Hi,
Moga Pro on HID (B) mode no longer works, unfortunately.
Pressing any of Y, B or Select brings up the 'Are you sure you want to exit?' menu, and you can then navigate the menu on the controller, but the game doesn't register X to launch the ball, or the shoulder buttons for the flippers...
Hold the top right flipper up when you're launching a ball in BK, then shoot straight round the pop bumper into the ball lock from the top left flipper.
It's no pussycat, but if you can do that 4 times out of 5 you'll get a good game out of it.
Samsung make amazing hardware, then completely %*&! it up with their firmware, for reasons that only make sense to Samsung. Though apparently newer versions of TouchWizz are intended to be more modular, and allow you to remove some of the undesired modifications. We shall see.
The funny thing...
It is interesting that (small sample size notwithstanding) there seems to be a bias towards Pin*Bot amongst Bride fans, but there's no corresponding bias towards Bride amongst Pin*Bot fans.
I guess Bride and Pin*Bot fans on average prefer older machines, but that's offset amongst the Pin*Bot...
No worries :)
Yes, something about the interaction between Sammy's rotation, GPG and TPA has been an intermittent issue for me for a while. One possibly related symptom is that during a game, occasionally it will freeze and bring up up the 'sign in to GPG' screen. Hitting cancel brings you back...
I've bought all the seasons so far (and a few balls).
That's more money than I ever expected to spend on an Android game, so...
eta - I think FarSight are going to have a few grumpy emails on Monday. And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why you shouldn't upload a new version of your game just...
I think I read this too fast the first time - are you saying that having run ARL, you've now disabled it, and your problem is permanently gone?
That's weird. Though gifthorses and mouths, I guess... Don't fiddle with it :)
Yep, if you're going to use Adaptive Rotation Lock you'll have to run it before playing TPA - I find 'Inverse portrait' works for me - then once you've finished, open its menu and select 'Disable'. That should hand control back to the firmware's rotation settings.
I guess other rotation lockers...
Hello. You've hit the same bug as me, but I thought it was GPG causing the trouble at first - hence the thread title.
There's a workaround in the thread (install a rotation locker - I'm using Adaptive Rotation Lock, which is a bit sketchy with Samsung firmware, but basically works)...
(in inverted portrait, Samsung P-900, Android 4.4.2)
I'm stuck in a loop. When I launch the game, I hit 'Cancel' twice to Google Play Games, and it normally lets me in. Now it asks me to sign in again when I enter a table, and hitting cancel gets me to the table menu. When I try to actually...
So, which Pin*Bot table wins for you?
For me it's still Pin*Bot. I don't rate Bride at all to be honest, so I was pleasantly surprised by Jack*Bot in that it keeps most of what makes Pin*Bot great (they're all new to me, so I had no idea it was so similar). But I prefer the focused simplicity...
