The maximum you can score on the lower playfield is 999.999 (or... well... 4.999.995 with all multipliers if you want to be that thorough, but let's not go into that ), not exactly "one last thing to do just before breakfast"-stuff. Is anyone here who managed to do that? The best I ever got was 640.000something.

Actually the maximum is 999,990 Just made it for the first time today (ps3). Also got 18M and change to the leaderboard. I still had balls left but since the attendant on BH doesn't work properly and I've had games get stuck with no way of getting it back before, I let the rest after I capped the lower playefield drain just so I could get a score registered.

Yes many times but i did wonder whether you still score in the background or if 999,990 is the finite maximum?

999,990 is the real bonus max. Once that's reached, there's nothing to do on the lower playfield for the remainder of that ball. You will get the full x5 value up to 4,999,950 awarded at the end of the ball.
