Anybody else having trouble accessing steam?

Yes, Steam is down.

No. I guess they started to run Gabe Newell's annual bonus calculation which caused Steam servers to implode.

This is what a friend of mine refers to as the "annual Christmas Steam DDoS attack," except it's not malicious, it's caused by shoppers and school-vacationers hitting the Steam servers. (I don't say Gabe's bonus calculation has nothing to do with it.)

Usually they get it back together fairly quickly the same day.
