Ball size in cabinet mode

Is it me or are the balls smaller in most tables? Are the dimensions distorted in cab mode? When I play, say, Zen, and afterwards watch a video with the real-life table, it seems shorter and the ball bigger. Especially Medieval Madness. Wonder if it's an illusion because of the smaller screen size? I'd definitely prefer bigger balls.
