I played Dr. Who a lot in the 1990's, and was even a little obsessed with it for a short time. It's super-fun, and pretty weird too -- strange rules, sounds, dots, and some strange shots. The video mode is super-important, though IIRC it's not trivial to light it. This may be a turn-off to players at a certain high skill level. I became pretty good at it and scored >2B regularly, but I don't think I ever figured out the big jackpots in multiball.

It has zero chance of coming to TPA, unless Stern decides to make a new Dr. Who table and pays for the license to this one, too.

I'm the opposite... could never properly handle video mode, but had the way the jackpots work down. Can't remember for the life of me now, and every Dr Who I come across at a show the Time Expander is usually broken/stuck. Being able to nail the W-H-O sequence was critical to success as well since it boosted the playfield multiplier.

I am still fascinated to see how the renegotiation goes with Williams/Bally. They will be out of licenses in the next 18 months or so and it will be interesting to see if they can come to a 3rd agreement. Because you wouldn't think Farsight would pay as much this time around as the best tables are already in the game. Granted the deal with Stern is fantastic but as far as TPA going beyond season six it seems like this will determine most of that.

Sales will have a huge impact on this too. Apparently, TPA has sold well enough to warrant a season 5. Hopefully no one is suffering "fatigue" from the 60+ tables already available. Me personally, I'm not-with so few IRL pinball machines in my area, I like getting a new table each month, and having a collection of pinball sims to enjoy. I also hope FarSight doesn't lose too many customers due to the lackluster console support. I've ditched the pS4 version for this reason, but I still have every table on PC (but not every achievement LOL). This may be a turn-off for some of the more casual pinball fans, whom I'm certain FarSight is trying to reach.
