BSD for me. I normally prefer SS / alphanum, but the simple layout is sort of reminiscent of them. Hammy humour, lots of tension and tactical play, brutally difficult - perfect.

Honourable mentions are Diner and High Speed.

Who Dunnit is my choice. It might not be as complex as others as far as rules go,but it's a blast to play for me.

Honorable mentions go to BSD,Junk Yard,High Speed & Diner.

Diner. I've played that table more than any other. I find it just a really good layout to grind.

Went with Who Dunnit, but I could flip a coin on about 4 or 5 of these as to which is my favorite.
Almost said Fish Tales. I don't like Fish Tales in real life, but the FS version is super IMO.

I thought season three was really strong. I voted BSD, because theme, layout, sound, modes are spectacular. It's also a sonva*****. i probably enjoy playing HRC, Whodunnit and JunkYard more, but BSD to me is clearly the superior pin of this season.

It was actually a tough choice between BSD and Black Rose. So I chose Black Rose

List 1-10

Black Rose - I love the artwork and pirate themed table. The bonus to this table was shooting the center shot to 'sink ships' and the cannon coming out of the table.
Dracula - The best part of the table is trying to stack all 3 multi-balls together. The artwork is great!
Diner - A great emulations of a classic table I played a lot back in that ERA
High Speed - Played it at castles and Coasters in AZ it's another great emulation
High Roller Casino - This table surprised me. Not as much as Black Rose but the sounds and modes are fun
Fish Tales - Wild Fast and fun
Black Knight - Soundtrack hands down yet the tables modes are fun too.
Who Dunnit - Interesting and require accurate shots to get anything going on the table which I love. It just doesn't grab me as much the others of season 3
Junk Yard - A bit confusing on what Have to do on this table. I guess the best feature for me is the wrecking ball in the middle.
LCA - another confusing table and one that I can't even get into. It's a bit dull IMO.

For me, High Speed, all day every day. But, I'm biased. That was my all-time favorite pinball table growing up, and the one table that I most wanted to see in The Pinball Arcade. If Season 3 consisted of High Speed, and nine slightly modded versions of Goin' Nuts, I'd have still loved Season 3 for High Speed alone. Black Knight 2000 would be a close second for me. I've also gotten to love Black Rose, Fish Tales, Junk Yard, WHO Dunnit, and Bram Stoker's Dracula. Indeed, the only even moderately weak table this season has been Lights Camera Action.

There were quite a few i opted out on...and just as many i would happily have opted out of ...if the old time machine had fired up. For S1 and S2 there were 2 in each i just couldn't be bothered to buy; as much due to not wanting to have one additional and redundant icon to have to scroll past in the selection list. (sorry FS).

but as clear as my avatar's name, BSD is just quite simply a total blast which has that lure of the just one more try element to it. the fact that most of my games are low scorers with the infrequent but occasional mega game is no deterrent but on the contrary, it's the tantalus that keeps me coming back for another bite (sorry!)

what am i trying to say ... BSD was really the only great table in S3.

whilst declined the season pass for S3 and i am glad i did so, the roll of BSD followed by POTO has lured me into having a punt on S4 season pass.... nothing to do with cost savings...more to do with cranking up the excitement & the expectation... i recommend you to do likewise ;-)

I surprised myself and voted High Speed. BK2K has always been a top 5 table for me(HS is top 10), but I've played High Speed more on TPA. I think Farsight did a great job on both tables, but High Speed just edged out BK2K for me. They're 1 and 1A, really.

I'm sorry, having a punt? Is that good?

"Having a punt" or "taking a punt" == "placing a bet".

A "punter" in the UK and Ireland is not someone who comes out on 4th down in an American Football game - it's someone, typically at a (horse) racetrack, who is placing a bet.

thanks for clearing that up EoS

i've been out of blighty for a few years now and occasionally i wonder if i am using the correct colloqualisms.... especially worrying when back "home" and ppl ask "so where are you from then"

i aghast i have to reply, same 'kin place as you are from !

edit: also out of the UK for ... ooh coming up for 11 years now.... and y'know here in Germany everything is backwards.... i mean the language (no offence to our German members)... wait for the meaning....wait for it... verbs go. ...right to the end of my very very long sentence.

me, barely speak ein wort ;-)
