Bug Black Rose, not registering high score after intials

I've been unable to enter a high score for a while now on Black Rose, after entering intials for high score it then restarts the game as you enter intials for most boats sunk.
The game then freezes forcing you to close down the app.

This is a long standing bug.

All you will be told by support is they are aware and you, as the user, need to slow down and not make any touches/button presses until the menu has fully appeared on the screen for first the high score, then the most boats.

If you make any user entered presses between the two it will trigger a game start. This has been around since the Black Rose was released.
