I need to sign up for this digitalpinballfans site.

I made the mistake of reading the TPA Facebook too. I feel genuinely sorry for whoever runs their page right now. The announcement for the release of WNBJM and BBH is like 90% unconstructive negative comments.

just watched (youtube) the new "how zen got the license" - couldn't find the thread here.

That’s because the actual podcast isn’t posted yet. The video is the raw, uncut version of things. We post it as soon as we finish recording. You know, for those of you that don’t want to wait! Sometimes we hold the video, like when we have guests that need the safety net of stuff being edited out. Jared will always make a post announcing the podcast when it’s ready.

We did pick up a bunch of YouTube subscribers though, so I might have to actually make those look better at some point if that becomes a popular option.

A little behind here as just listening to this episode now. But in the podcast its mentioned you're going to interview someone from Zen. if you're taking questions would be curious about the following:

Can Zen offer modifications to the tables? Such as LED style lighting, color DMD, alternative back glass, alternative flippers, glo balls (please!)?

I'll ask not only if they can, but if they would. I have made the suggestion to team up with ColorDMD in our private threads a few times. Did Williams have alt back glass? And in terms of alt flippers, do you mean just in color, rubber type, or do you mean something else like swapping lightning flippers for regular?

I don't think any of the alt backglasses were official to Williams. But was thinking along the lines of The Shadow alternative backglass, where it just shows a cartoonish version of The Shadow, that's popular. But would open to any alternative backglasses Zen makes that you could swap in might be fun.

For alt flippers was thinking more of the colored ones, or see-through ones - similar to what Zaccaria offers. But the idea of swapping the default flippers out with the shorter flippers or banana flippers might be fun for a go on some tables.

Just wondering how far they can go with the mods if at all.

I'd also really like to know that... some games had features during prototyping that were cut from the final game and it would be a cool *option* to have those in.
Farsight always said they were not allowed to add anything back in that was not part of the production run, I wonder if that has changed.

Right now my biggest gripe with PB FX is that I can't seem to find a view I really like for the WMS tables.
So my question is: are they planning on adding more views or adding a feature that allows individual, adjustable camera angles?

(Talking about Landscape mode here)
I end up playing in view 2 but that is just the lesser evil because that view is still not high enough for my taste. Side-by-side I prefer the highest up view in TPA Fish Tables over camera 2 in PF FX (and that is not perfect for me either).
Maybe it's not really the height but rather the viewing angle..., when I play real Pinball my view of the flippers is almost top-down "2D" so I guess I am hoping for the camera to "lean over" the table some more and look down at a steeper angle.
Stern tends to have photos in almost perfect view in their press releases:

Maybe a tad too extreme for the landscape view but these would be perfect for the cabinet view, I guess

I do like the swaying camera 5 but again, it is much too low for my taste... if that were higher up, looking down at a steeper angle with a lot less swaying this would probably be my 2nd favourite.

Another Question:
Are there any plans to expose the operator's menu (like TPA pro mode)?

General question. Any additions to current cabinet mode? (analog nudging, plunger setup, better views or free camera placement?) And please allow the option to display the backbox on a separate monitor.

I'm curious on when Zen started tearing down the machines to develop Williams Pinball. Basically asking when did development start.

I just want to remind people here that Lio is just looking for a realistic view... one that matches his extremely tall frame (6'5"? can't remember). All kidding aside, this is one of the reason why farsight should have whatever view they want, with an additional "custom" view which lets you input a custom camera angle. Do that, everyone is happy, even giants ;)
