Finally!
Given the allmighty Cab mod from NoEx and the improvements with unit3d pinball I decided to build BackBox for my cab.
Yes, I had a cab without backglass.
I never actually posted a build thread here, but I promised some guys here to keep up the cab building spirit
So, as you can see my cab is very custom. Its a tabletop - it actually sits on our dining table (We eat at the kitchen bar anyways)
I just couldnt go for fullsize, because I live in a small (but expensive) flat in Munich. Maybe one day when I get my man-cave....
The cab features a 40" playfield, original williams Widebody lockdown bar and plunger, leaf switches, lots of buttons (they function as mouse / cursor), and a real Pinball as button in the center.
It has a real DMD with PinDMD2, 5.1 Speakers and sub, and runs on a i5 / 4 GB / 560ti / SSD PC.
I designed the cabinet to be as small as possible and still fit all that stuff in there.
The BackBox can be folded down. On the back is a secret door housing the cables for the backglass monitor.
When folded the cab can be put vertically on its rubber feet and rolled back into the corner to save some space.
That's about it. Now just waiting for my new display to arrive so I can put my good old LG 22" in there.
Have fun.
