Can iCade support be expanded to regular bluetooth keyboards?

Just a question - I know the iCade pretends to be a bluetooth keyboard. I was wondering if the iCade support can be expanded to support regular bluetooth keyboards as well? You know, where shifts are the flippers, z, / and space for nudges and whatnot?

Well techically an icade is a kb as far as ios is concern man

One letter for up and one letter for down

For example ae=1

It can work but its enxtremely akward because of the way icade is implmented

Edit- have you tried the ios version with mac osx mappings?

If they make the buttons configurable, then you can do that. And if i am correct, they are working on it.

Yeah, it wouldn't really work with a normal keyboard because you'd have to press two keys - one to flip the flipper up, and the other to "release" the flipper. I think it would be rather maddening to play that way.

"Configurable" might be a little misleading. It will let you choose between iCade and iCade Mobile mappings that are detailed in this pdf. Unfortunately, configuring the mapping of each button individually on the user's end is not supported at this time.

Since my 8-bitty didn't work I sa9d to hell with it and bought a ps3 controller and installed Blutrol...plays awesomely!

I still want my 8-bitty to work because a ps3 controller doesn't fit in my iPad messenger bag.

Out of curiosity, does the 8bitty work properly on the iPhone on TPA? I wasn't able to find any mapping documented for 8bitty in my preliminary searches.
