Can you transfer purchases from a Mac to an iPhone or iPad?

Sorry if this has been answered before but I couldn't find it by searching.

I just bought most of the tables for my Mac and I'm wondering if I can transfer or unlock those purchases on my iPhone or iPad...

Logging in and restoring purchases doesn't seem to work.

Any insight is appreciated!

No. The Mac purchases are separate from the iOS ones.

Yes. As long as they are on the same iOS account.

Hmm...they are on the same iOS account but no luck so far. I purchased an extra table pack on the iPad and so far it's not updating the iPhone. I've tried restoring purchases and logging in and out. Any suggestions?

Are the apps on your iPhone and iPad both the free or paid version, or do you have the free version installed on one device and the paid version installed on the other device?

That's a good question. I know I paid for the iPad version (.99). Should I uninstall the iphone version and redownload it as paid?

No...just install both versions on your iPhone, reboot your phone, log in then restore purchases.

I appreciate the advice so far but unfortunately it's not working.

I have the paid version on my iPad and I've downloaded all the tables.

I had the paid version on the iPhone but also downloaded the free one to try the advice above. Nothing is working. Logging in and out, rebooting, restoring purchases, etc. Still just shows Arabian Nights on the iPhone and that's it.

Any other suggestions?

I used to have both the free and now the paid. It was giving me problems. Solution was do delete both apps, then reinstall the paid version, and then download each table that I owned. Logged in and now it works.

Uggh...nothing is working! So frustrating.

Maybe it'd help to explain what I'm doing.

I've left the paid iPad app as is. I've downloaded all the tables on that under the same iOS account and same FarSight login as my iPhone.

I deleted both iPhone apps and reinstalled the paid app. I logged in. Then I checked My Tables. Only Arabian Nights there. Then I went to the New Tables section and clicked on a table. It asked me if I want to restore purchases. I clicked yes. It then presented the screen where I can choose to buy the table or play the free version. I clicked cancel and then checked My Tables. Still just Arabian Nights.

Is there a different way to "restore purchases" or download tables I've paid for?

Really, really, appreciate the help. It was killing me earlier today that I didn't have my iPad with me and couldn't play on my iPhone.

Are you absolutely sure that both your iPad and iPhone use the SAME iTunes account?

To restore purchases via Apple, they MUST be the same account. Sometimes when setting up a new iPhone or iPad a new account accidentally gets created instead of using an existing one.

Not sure why restore purchases isn't working but if they are both on the same account and you are prompted to buy a table on the 2nd device, if you are absolutely sure they are on the same account and same version of the app, go ahead and click to purchase. You should get a message that you have already purchased and can download for free. If you do get charged get on the blower to apple for a refund.
