Centaur and Pin* Bot is now up on NA PSN

I want it, of course, but Tokyo Jungle Mobile is also coming out today at a reduced price for a week so I should be getting that first. I have to see what the gameplay is like though. If it ends up not being interesting, I will get the pinball.

Yeah, yeah, I know, I know... should be voting with my wallet to get the two-stage flipper mode fixed... but I just gotta have Centaur!

Edit: WOW! Centaur is great and Pin*Bot seems to be very easy... not a lot of left-outlane drainage like on other systems I have the PHoF version for. Definitely worth buying.

Thanks for the info Freelance. I downloaded the pack a few minutes ago. Centaur feels brutal and I love it. The outlane flipper saves are a lot of fun too. I'm liking it more than Pin*bot right now which I don't understand very well.

I haven't gotten the 5 ball multi yet, but I'll be on the look out for slow down. As it stands now this is a fantastic release. I love both tables. The lighting of Pinbot to me is great and Centaur is awesome. I've not played it before but its fast becoming a favorite of mine. Yes the outlane flipper saves, I've not seen that before. I noticed on the right one sometimes the animation makes it sorta seem to jump from the band to the lane, kinda caught my eye.

Yeah I've noticed that, and its really a considerable drop... lost a lot of balls that way...

Centaur its now on my top favorite(that black and white playfield its just amazing), followed by Space Shuttle and Pin Bot... don't know why but these recent 80's tables are much more polished then the others... look at Space Shuttle lightning, its fantastic...

Pin*Bot looks pretty good with exception of the pops not lighting. Actually it looks very similar to the ios version with some better textures and lighting.

Centaur looks ok. The black and white art on the playfield is a bit dull but not bad. Looks more like a used Centaur rather than a new one. The 1,2,3,4 just above the flippers gets blown out when lit. My biggest gripe is the lane guides. They're friggin' pink! I know that illuminated plastics can distort the color some but I'd rather they look like the pop covers, which are a bit orangish, than pink. Oh well. At least it plays decent. Haven't got to five ball yet so I can't comment on slowdown.

Only when the trophy popped. Otherwise, it's been smooth for me.

I should note that I'm playing the 720p version.

don't complete any wizard goals on these tables if you ever want to turn tilt on/off...

Normaly after completing wizard goals, the option to turn off tilt is unlocked. There seems to be a new bug where the tilt on/off option stays locked after completeing said wizard goals. Been discussed in a couple threads such as

Yeah that was my last wiz goal as well, and that is when the slowdown occured. But it kept doin the slow mo thing untill i lost one of the balls. I play in 1080p though. And nope, i dont experience any flipper lag whatsoever (seriously, i have no lag.)

Is no one experiencing muddy textures from Centaur? Pin*Bot looks just fine to me, but the whole center of my Centaur playfield is unacceptably low res.

This was fixed in iOS v1.2.10, so hopefully the next PS3 update will bring a fix for you guys.

seriously though, do you know if that update worked retroactively? I got the last wizard goal for Central Park with this update and now the toggle is locked...will it repair itself after the update or will I have to do more?

not that I ever really turn it off but it irks me in an OCD way..

Same here! After the trophy popped on me, the slowdown stayed until the balls drained and got the game over. After that I played another game, got the 5 ball multiball and I had no slowdown.

It's most likely a glitch when the "Table Goal [?] Complete" appears. I guess the game can't handle showing that, the trophy icon and the multiball at the same time.

So has anyone else experienced weirdness with nudging on Pin*Bot while 2x scoring is active during multiball? It seems like its got 2x nudging too lol. Seriously the nudging moves the table like twice as much while the 2x mode is going as it does normally. As soon as one ball drains it goes back to normal..

I have the opposite experience. Pinbot has always been a tough one for me and this version is no different. I'm much better at Bride of Pinbot and its no surprise that I like that one a bit better. But I do enjoy losing at Pinbot as well. haha

White Water, I'm losing fast with that one regularly as well but still enjoy it. Really looking forward to Whirlwind/Pub.
