ok, these (this and ElDorado) were released today/yesterday (depending on where you live) so we're all just having out first look at them.

this one reminds me a lot of Tee'd Off, which means my first impression was favourable. i've not read the rules yet, and have no idea what i'm doing so it was a flailfest, but there was lots going on, plenty of callouts and stuff starting, and when i got to the (presumably) wizard mode of pool ball mania, it was crazy with loads of points racking up all over. seems too easy for me to get to the wizard mode in my first twenty minutes, as on most games i never ever get there or only after trying for over a year (i own AFM, have never yet ruled the universe; i own FG, have never got to sperm attack) .... but having said that, my best score of 500M was only worth 29 points, so presumably you'd need to get to the wizard mode, and master it, about 20 times in one game in order to get the full 1000 points.

my first impression: lots of fun, like it. it's not an A-lister, but it's more fun, for me, than plenty of B- and C-list titles. and i can find at least half a dozen other games on TPA that i like less. Please share your impressions, tips and strategies for this table - then when a folder gets created for it, hopefully the admins/mods can move this in there. cheers fellas

Here's a tip for the 1/2 billion hurry-up.

Normally, during 9-Ball play, you have to shot the targets in order and then shoot the Side Pocket and then 9 ball. But, if you complete the Solids and then start 9 ball, you just have to shoot the Side Pocket to light the hurry up. It helped me... But I still didn't get it.

I did notice it recycles many of the sound effects as teed off. The outlines are murdering me.

As with teed off, the rules seem unnecessarily convoluted and arbitrary, or maybe it's just me. The sound track is better than teed off at least.

I mentioned this in another thread, but isn't it impossible to get that "Sweet spot" standard goal? It won't register for me.

Pretty easy game though. Got Pool Mania twice on my 5th game...this game will wear out very soon, but it's pretty ok. I like the cue ball.

One thing I've noticed is that like EATPM and PB and TO, you should resist the urge to restart after a bad ball, as by continuously completing games, even with one hand and while reading a book, you can get the DOUBLE thing almost completed, and start each new game with DOUBL and only needing one hit to activate it.

Double sounds pretty juicy as apparently it not only doubles points but also all EBs and Specials (supposedly 50M but I think there's a bug?) for the rest of the ball, so if you can get 2 EBs in that same ball, that's a pretty nice 4 x EB cushion to relax on. Is there an EB maximum? I've not read that bit yet.

+1 And then combine double with pool mania, you can quite nicely rack up some points. HOF requirements are quite steep, psumably to offset the (half) billion shots. They are quite hard to get I think. Nice table though, the cue ball thing is an original gimmick. On the VP table it could get loose and you could even shoot it around with your flippers... :)

I got it. Seems to be a matter of luck, hitting that target, but it did register for me.

Playing PC version mostly:

Bangbacks are super easy thanks that that post in the ball trough.

It's not a bad table, but kind of reminds me of BOP, sort of a one trick pony. Hit the ramp, hit the ramp, hold the ball (except on two wheel modes) hit the ramp, hit the ramp etc.

There is a lot more to shoot for, but I find it's easy to get lost in the ramp and not move around.

Not a bad table, and one of the few that I've actually played IRL.
I find this one to be a lot easier than the real table.

That's odd. Did you get it on iOS? I have hit that target 5-6 times now. I see an animation with a ball hitting a triangle of balls, I receive 50M but no goal being ticked off. Is there anything else to this? I mean, when you see that, it's when you have have made that "Sweet spot"-shot, right?

If you're referring to TO its Teed Off. I'm not sure why it doesn't have the little tag like there others yet, but it probably will soon enough.
