Dualshock 4 with Android?

Anybody trying this? I just paired my DS4 with my Nexus 7 2013. Besides the fact that the flippers are getting controlled by L2/R2 instead of L1/R1, the lag between pushing the trigger and the flipper activating is horrible!

I see controller apps on the Play store that require a rooted device. Is this worth it? Are any of those apps any good with this setup?

I have a Nyko Powerpad Pro that does map the buttons correctly, but the buttons on that pad are just no good for pinball (too squishy).

What pairing software are you using to pair your DS4 controller? SixAxis?

You can change the controller mapping when you are in the table play mode. Go to settings and find the button controller scheme. Change the setting and the shoulder buttons mapping will be changed.

I'm not using any software right now. And there are no button controller schemes that I can see in the new UI (I do remember them in the old UI).
