Hurricane is my #1 must-have. Without Hurricane, I wouldn't be playing TPA or be on this forum.*
* Okay, so it'd be a different table. I'd have had to hang out in a different bar with different friends in my first year at Uni. But at the time I started hanging out with them, Hurricane was the pin in that bar, and that was what we played in between rounds of the nightly pub quizzes.

yes, I did. And while it is a good game I don't find it so special, a must, a kickstarter or whatever. It wasn't SO popular here.

Both of these late eighties pins came out when I was in high school, so you know I want to see them both. They only came out a year apart, but they couldn't be more different as far as gameplay.

It's massively popular in the states, and is one of the few tables that get requested on a daily basis. If you exclude TFA, I'd say it's better than all of the tables released so far this season. (That includes the soon to be released Xenon and HSII)

that's fair. i just think it tests your reflexes and feels like a dogfight, so i dig it. i like the adrenaline shot games.

Kinda helps it came out around the same time as a certain very popular movie that prominently featured F-14s ....

Think I may japust have to agree with that statement. I think we will get cyclone this season and F-14 next season.

I enjoyed Hurricane a lot when I played it, but I have found that visual gimmicks on real tables (such as the ramp going around the whole table, the ferris wheels etc.) aren't quite as impressive in digitisations, so it might not be as fun. I remember the rules being very simple, and progress to the wizard mode carrying over from game to game. I suppose FS could turn that off to make it more challenging. Or the player could reset the ROM each time.
