One question that nobody has asked yet :)

Well, did you say hello to Farsight and try out their cab version of the game? Almost funny that no-one has asked it yet, considering the title of this thread :)

Oh my frggin' lord. I can't deal with that. Jeff, I usually find these events too loud to hear the game that you're playing. Was that the case here?

The crowd was much thinner Friday night, so it wasn't bad at all, especially away from the DMDs.

Haha good question. I actually did not, unfortunately. I went over here once and there was a big crowd around them so I didn't get a chance to say hi.

They are holding an event in Worcester Mass in July, which is about 30 minutes from my house. Can't wait for it. My dream pin is to finally get to try Scared Stiff.

Gary

We have to have a TPA meet there. I'm so looking forward to Pintastic!

Jeff,nice pics & a good report.

I'm guessing that the guy responsible for this is the same guy who tried kickstarting a pinball museum out that way?

Thanks man. Yes, same guy. I'm hoping the museum is still going to open. They said they're working with the city, but it's a long process.

Also at Arcade Expo, the world record for the most people playing pinball at the same time was broken! :D

Thanks to everyone from FarSight and Jeff Strong for making this happen :)

Amazing!!

I sure hope FS bring back the virtual arcade from the Williams collection at some point

That would be cool. But given the detail in all the pins they recreate these days, plus the fact they'd all need to be running in attract mode so would need roms for every game running at the same time... not going to happen.

Unless they dumb the detail down a bit. Which in itself would take some effort.

You don't have to emulate attract mode. Just record a minute of output from the DMD and lamp matrix and play that back in a loop. You could even splice in the text for the most-recent and high scores, still at far less computational cost than full emulation.

Hmm, I still think that would be a pain to develop. We still haven't got our new UI, over a year after it was announced.
