Alright, I've been on a "foreign-language" kick for awhile, and I'm curious to know what movies you guys would suggest. I prefer crime/thriller stuff, but I'd definitely be open to other genres.

Let The Right One In (Sweden) - already on your list is fantastic
Audition (Japan, Odishon, 1999) - don't know what to say about this one. If you've already seen it, then you know what I mean. (Horror/thriller)

Combination Platter - about a illegal immigrant working in a Chinese restaurant. (Great movie, but I think it might not be foreign. I'm not sure. Saw it too many years ago.)

I think I may be showing my age here, but here are my favorite two:

The Seventh Seal (Sweden)
Wild Strawberries (Sweden)

Both by Ingar Bergman.

Timelord ...

I'm french, and it's not a thriller stuff (but there's crime in it)... :p

Jean de Florette (1986 - France)
Manon des Sources (1986 - France)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean_de_Florette

Very good (and sad) story (Marcel Pagnol's book), great actors (Yves Montand best role), wonderful photography...

and music.

well, you can skip 7 seX 7. Or any Croatian movie from last two decades. Serbian on the other hand are much better. But that comes from someone who understand their way of life and those subtile messages. But most of them have elements of comedy so maybe not what you are looking for.
Some other movies I liked:
Secret in their eyes (Argentina)
Swimming pool (France)
Tell no one (France)
The crimson rivers (France)
Blue is the warmest color (France)
In the house (France)
Incendies (Canada, France)
Rust and bone (France)
The keeper of lost causes (Denmark)
The lives of others (Germany)
The other son (France)
Generation war (Germany)- this is actually a mini series but still worth watching
The hunt (Denmark)
King of devil's island (Norway, Sweden)
Cell 211 (Spain)
Timecrimes (Spain)
Sarah's Key (France)
Sleep tight (Spain)
Headhunters (Sweden, Norway)

Not my favorite, but truly a Must See for everyone.
The brazilian movie "City of God" (Cidade de Deus).
I know the German version, the original language is Portuguese of course.

Ah, yes, I have "City of God" on DVD and Blu-ray, plus the TV show. I didn't even get into the foreign-language TV shows I have kickin' around. Just got a few new ones this week on DVD (The Bridge, Wallander Season 3, Prisoners of War).

A Cat in Paris (France) - great, and is dubbed
The Grandmaster (China) - bad, very very bad. Like a recap of three Ip Man movies
Pusher (Denmark) - good
TrollHunter (Norway) - Watch This Now!!
Young Detective Dee (China) - The aquatic battle horse makes it all worthwhile, just wait.

Ones I have watched recently:
Welcome to Dongmakgol (Korean)
Lost in Siberia (Russian)
The Gangster (Thai)
Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale (Japanese)
The Last Tycoon(Chinese)

and still working my way through Wallander in Swedish.

Not if you have the French version with subtitles. None of my foreign-language collection is dubbed (because that's a bad way to watch a foreign-language movie).

The Grandmaster (China) - bad, very very bad. Like a recap of three Ip Man movies

This is the original Chinese version, not the one that was edited for the US. Not sure if that changes your opinion on it, but the Chinese one is supposed to be better (I don't have an opinion one way or the other, since I haven't watched either).

"Old Boy" is good.

Yeah, I saw that when I was in LA a number of years ago. It was my first time hanging out with a guy I met through work, and he invited me over to his place to watch a movie on his big screen projector, along with his roommate. I didn't know at the time, but his roommate was an actor from a show I watched, so that caught me a bit off guard, and then we watched OldBoy, which was a weird movie to watch with people you don't really know.

A Very Long Engagement was probably the best film I've ever seen about WWI

"Un long dimanche de fiançailles" (original title)
