Is it just me, or does the ball go weird when releasing from broadside? It's like it's hitting the TAF seance on the way down and doesn't drop smoothly.
You do realize the ball is returned on a habitrail and drops off just above the right flipper? It's not easy to see in TPA but this rail is elevated above the playfield. See also this pic: http://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=313&picno=14298
The fun part is how the ball behaves on the right flipper after leaving the habitrail, 1 in about 6 times it wil not be cradled and roll over the right flipper tip, necessitating a slap save with the left flipper.
Thanks for that, and no, I didn't realise! I watched a YouTube video of the actual table and it had a fluid movement gently back to the flipper. The TPA version is anything but gentle - I usually keep the right flipper up to deaden it, but it does occasionally ricochet too far up and down the outlane.
