Waiting around for the Fish Tales beta to be released. Someone mentioned it was now on Steam, but it hasn't been on Android or iOS yet.

You should know that, as usual, Ryan releases the Android Beta when he is available to do so. The timing of the other OS beta releases has nothing to do with it.

I would think that after the last three months of posting theses "hurry UP" posts you'd get it already :/

I hate to say this, but I agree. Having a Beta ready two days before release does not provide adequate time for testing.

The lion's share of the bug hunting/testing is done on iOS for Mobile and on PC for general code etc. Android is an open beta due to the fragmentation of it's OS and hardware. The more people that take part and report their experiences the more feedback that can be given and then implemented. However, as the PC build has become the new favoured platform there are less players, and less testers it seems so 2 days, a week what's the difference when there's only 3 or 4 of us (exaggeration, perhaps) making reports.

Secondly, why does it matter to players that don't even use 'droids when the Android Beta is released or how much time is allocated for testing? I don't see posts hounding iOS players about their tendency to assume that their experiences are platform specific only.

iOS/Steam (not sure of Mac) beta testing should be based on T2 kickstarter's and whoever FS see's fit. For example, I can see them offering this to a mod who couldn't afford contributing $400+ to the T2 KSer. I also assume the iOS/Steam beta is completely "optional" for FS and they have their own internal QA process. The "optional" beta for these platforms is mutually beneficial as it allowed T2 goal to be reached and sometimes we fans find bugs that aren't discovered by FS internal testing folks.

When we shift over to Droid and the heterogeneous environment that exists there, I would have to say releasing the beta earlier then the iOS/Steam and open makes sense. More devices, more OS versions increases the risks of a problem occurring with the official release. Maybe the reason it isnt released yet is because of this very problem. Maybe Ryan is having issues with the multiple Droid hardware he has on-hand and the beta won't be released until those issues are worked out.

Just my two cents..

I'd love it if shutyertrap would do a "Flip out" segment with Ryan and Stuart. It would be cool to learn how these two devs work together to produce the mobile versions.

I think there may be nondisclosure compliance issues if Android was first. This would be easier if mobile deployment was handed using TestFlight, or another cross-platform deployment system that was invite only, but not restrictive like the tester limits on the iOS ecosystem (in past, the 100 tester limit was cited as a frustrating barrier).

Trusted folks could sign the NDA and then be granted access to the Android beta.

In the new Android Version, I'll believe and hope so ;) , the option Session 3 must be implemented. Maybe only one folder, which calls "Sessons" and this one contains "Session1" , "Session2" and "Session3" ..., is on the Top

Maybe the release of fish tales beta for Android will be coming later than usual this time, because we Androids users have to purchase the beta table, and as fish tales will be part of season 3, maybe Farsight wants to have the availability to purchase the whole season 3 pack ready first so there is less problems with people first purchasing only fish tales and then wanting a discount on season 3 pass.

Should be tomorrow, I've implemented a new mode that you guys can test as well. Anyone remember the Williams challenge from the old cd version?

Basically you play a bunch of tables in a set order and get HOF points for doing well in each table, at the end your HOF points are tallied up and you see where you place in your own personal leaderboards.

Whether it'll be similar here is hard to guess, but that's how it worked on Williams HOF
