Google Play Game Services Cross platform intergration?

Today google announced the new "Play Game Services" and one of the bigger features is cross platform leaderboards achievements and cloud saves.

I hope this something FS will look into, It would be awesome to sync scores from ios to android devices. Plus more flexibility with leaderboards and achievements is always a plus.
Even now I find myself manually syncing saves using titanium back up for my android devices it would be much smooth smother to have this linked through google and across all platforms.

And yet the thread in the PS3 section questions why the PS3 leaderboards combine PS3 and all the mobiles! Go figure!

Play is very different on the various platforms. Nudging is the obvious example. I suppose mobile platforms could be consistent, but I question whether they actually are.
