Too many DMD games already! HS needs to be first.

I would like to see HS first so it can get some love. If Getaway comes out first people will just bury HS.

Pretty much this. Will people care about HS when something "superior" (for those that consider DMD games to be better than alpha-numerics overall) is already out and incredibly similar?

PS. People need to know their history. Get educated, play High Speed, love it, love the callouts, then when HSII comes out you can appreciate it more

And FWIW, the illusion of speed from HSII comes from the supercharger. The actual gameplay IMO feels a lot more fast and brutal on HS. But neither are as nasty as F-14 from what I've seen... that game looks downright masochistic!

Y'know what would be really cool? If they could get the surrounding ambient light to simulate the siren light on top of the backbox when being chased by the cops. Unlike the fan in WW or Gunther in TO, this is one case where we could actually have the backbox toy still be part of the sim.

Better still, activate the flash on your device (if it has one) so you can put some red cellophane on it to simulate the light

I'm voting High Speed because of the police radio. I know it sounds silly but when you play that pinball table and you hear the voices on the police radio, you really feel like you're being chased by the cops. Strait up classic action. Oh, and since the NES version got ruined by the ball gobblers, money bags, and Apache helicopters; I just want to play the real thing.
