I am commenting the designs of the tables i don't need to defend myself ;-)

Again, it's also obvious you've never even seen the designs of the tables in a 3 dimensional world. Please. Stop. And just to be clear. The comparison that Shutyertrap made was sarcasm.

Hard to tell as you can't sort the list, but it looks like they were both top five. Don't think Junkyard was, though.

Here is the top 10 for WMS:

Poll #2 : Williams

1) Fish Tales (1992)
2) The Getaway : High Speed II (1992)
3) Red & Ted’s Road Show (1994)
4) Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1993)
5) Black Knight 2000 (1989)
6) Earthshaker (1989)
7) Diner (1990)
8) Junk Yard (1996)
9) F-14 Tomcat (1987)
10) Cyclone (1988)

Poll #3 : Bally

1) Black Rose (1992)
2) World Cup Soccer (1994)
3) Judge Dredd (1993)
4) WHO dunnit (1995)
5) Safe Cracker (1996)
6) Xenon (1980)
7) The Party Zone (1991)
8) Corvette (1994)
9) Eight Ball Deluxe (1981)
10) Indianapolis 500 (1995)

They've commented that all the licensed tables won't be appearing anytime soon, same with Roadshow, F-14 and Xenon. That might leave you with:

Confirmed/released
Fish Tales (1992)
Junk Yard (1996)
Black Knight 2000 (1989)
Black Rose (1992)
WHO dunnit (1995)

What's left:
The Getaway : High Speed II (1992)
Earthshaker (1989)
Diner (1990)
Cyclone (1988)
Safe Cracker (1996)
The Party Zone (1991)
Eight Ball Deluxe (1981)

Even taking out the licensed tables, Junkyard would still be a #7 unless Getaway and Roadshow would be licensed due to the music. That's the only way it hits top 5 on the poll.

Victory would be called "low-speed" if made by Williams. For a car theme it reminds me of the thrill and excitement that could only be captured by the elderly on a freeway.
Open-wheel racing isn't primarily about speed. It's about technical precision and accuracy around each turn and corner. Victory actually captures that pretty well - but of course that's not at all what a mass audience would be expecting.

Assuming you are correct that would mean that there would not be enough tables for a 4th season. If there was to be no 4th season there would be no point doing a DX11 update etc etc.

Yet, FS are not showing any indication, at least from recent comments on the recent chat, that the product life cycle is ending this year. Quite the opposite in fact. I think they are not being entirely candid about the licensed tables to be honest.

Well, there's still Gottlieb and Stern. They aren't just going to ignore them because B/W games are more popular. From the polls:

Unlicensed Gottlieb/Premier:
Wipe Out (1993)
Cactus Jack’s (1991)
Lights...Camera...Action! (1989)
Bone Busters Inc. (1989)
TX-Sector (1988)

Unlicensed Stern/DE:
High Roller Casino (Stern, 2001)
Time Machine (Data East, 1988)
Sharkey’s Shootout (Stern, 2000)
Seawitch (Stern, 1980)

I was putting that info for the sake of remaining season 3 releases only. There will definitely be a season 4 and probably well beyond that too as long as tables keep selling. I imagine season 4 will have some sterns, data easts, gottliebs And a few WMS machines for good measure.

I'm sure when those tables are eaten up we will have a new set of polls. We do love our polls around here.

I always felt the lack of High Speed was the most conspicuous absence from PHoF. Seems crazy that we're now 40 tables in, and HS is still nowhere in sight. Wonder if somebody at FS simply doesn't like it.

It probably should have been a season 1 table and they could have saved one of the hotter tables (say attack from mars or monster bash) for a little later or a shift with other tables to have a top ten release later in the game. They threw all of the doable top 10 out in the first 15 months or less!
