How much have the tables improved since Williams PHOF on 360?

I haven't been able to play any of the new tables since Pinball Arcade started, just the disc version of Williams PHOF.

How much have they improved? Give specifics if you can.

To give one specific example: Medieval Madness no longer plays as if the balls were helium-filled.

I think maybe more of the games are now emulated rather than scripted, so there would be fewer little scoring bugs and so forth. The big difference that prevents me from ever wanting to go back to PHOF again is that the ball physics are immensely improved in TPA; at the time I thought PHOF was great but going back now, the balls are just ridiculously floaty which makes it feel very slow and dull by comparison.
