I think it makes virtually no difference in TPA. You can always still slap save, at least with keyboard/gamepad controls.

I've hardly played any of the real machines with lightning flippers. Didn't even know they were a thing until TPA with Fish Tales.

The entire purpose of Lightning flippers was to shorten ball times, which in turn would potentially lead to more turn over in the machine and more profits for the operators. That said, I don't think it makes that much difference in TPA because of the way it is tuned for phones and tablets. The real machines are much more difficult. Both FT and BSD are 2 of my favorites. One thing is does do when playing the real machines is that you really appreciate a good game, because you usually earned it.

I've got a whole lot more center drains on BSD than I should, all because of those LFs. It seems their use was purely to shorten games. Was BSD and FT the only tables that used those stupid things?

I agree that you hate lightning flippers! :D

They stink IRL but are awesome in TPA. The shorter the game in TPA, the better. Probably why Big Shot is one of my favorites.

I only play FT once in a while, but would play more often if it wasn't for the lightening flippers. A shame, cause it's such a beautiful work. I think the luck factor outweighs the skill factor. Managed a 230 million score, but more often than not, a drain-o-rama.

I think that BSD suffers more from the little flippers. On FT you play left ramp, right ramp and then the monster spinner. That wouldn't change with regular flippers. Multiball would be more fun, though, with some jackpots. I played the VP version of BSD and my ball times increased.

I'm not a fan of lightning flippers, I love Fish Tables as a table but can never play it too often as its just too hard and frustrating with those flippers. I hadnt even noticed Dracula had them until I read it here to be honest although I cant say I'm a massive fan of the Dracula table really and again I find it too hard to be fun as I just cant get any flow in the game.

I dont mind a table being hard generally but those shortened flippers drive me mad.

They are lucky if they get a mist or some bats but without they pray for 30M.

That's largely the unbalanced nature of BSD; stack a multiball or two and I get 1-3 billion on some occasions, fail to do this and the score is stuck in the 50-100 million range.

Platform is PC which means we do have access to the nudge, which is more necessary on BSD than some other tables.
