iOS graphics vs Xbox

Today I saw a few Xbox tables on the FS Facebook page. Maybe it's just me but I think my iPad mini 2 tables look much better then the Xbox ones. With the lighting you just can't see the table clearly. Now I'm 62 years old and played EM tables more then any others but I don't like the lighting effects on these more powerful game systems.

I believe the lighting on XBox/PS3/PS4 is modeled after a machine setup in a dimly lit arcade type environment. Some prefer that look to the stark and leveled brightness of the iOS lighting. Some attempt was made on iOS devices to come close to that arcade look with a rendering model (I forget the name) which slowed pretty much all tables down to a choppy mess.

I prefer how the colors are more vivid and "pop" more on iOS than the console versions. The console version look dull and muddy, although they did improve a little with the super patch.

I prefer the "dark room" lighting. The light show stands out more. That being said, having the option to toggle the room lighting would be ideal. Perhaps as mobile platforms become more powerful...

Perhaps. Problem is is that FS insists on not abandoning old hardware, thus hobbling advancement.

If ASK Homework can do a dark room setting with Zaccaria then why FarSight can't do the same with TPA?
Even with the normal light setting mode in Zaccaria we can create a dim light enviroment with adjusting the graphic sliders. So basicly a control over the R G B will do the job very well.

Because Farsight uses actual ROMs, which takes up a whole bunch of the (whatever it is...) on mobile devices, whereas Zaccaria actually scripts them. That's why Zaccaria is able to use this technology. Mobile devices can't run a ROM and ultra light settings at the same time.

I think they're irrelevant. We're talking about fixed values for color setting, which does not dynamically change in real time.
