Is there a way to STOP updates on Kindle Fire?

Just saw the new interface on my phone. It is so horrible that I would prefer to just keeps the tables I have and the old interface. Is there a way to block Amazon from updating my kindle with the new interface. Yes, I know I will also not get new tables. I really love scrolling down through my tables to see which Wizard Goals are still not completed, it's how I pick what to play. This new version is just terrible.

Found it.

1. Quick settings, select More
2. Go to Applications
3. Under Amazon Applications select Apps
4. Under Automatic updates uncheck enable.

When you go back it should read Disabled.
