Cubs last appeared in the WS in 1945, last won in 1908.
Indians at least got to the WS as recently as 1997, but you need to go back to 1948 for their last win.

Penn State just beat No. 2 Ohio State 24-21 on the back of a blocked FG returned for a TD and some top-notch defense all around. That's cause enough for celebration in this part of the world.
