We live in central Pennsylvania, and my wife, who is from Long Island and is nominally a Yankees fan, was very much rooting for the Cubs. I was constantly ribbing her throughout the game that something would happen, "they're the Cubs". Lo and behold the bottom of the 8th happened. For a while there I was going to be spending the night in my car, though.
