Would love to see Jack*Bot to complete the Pin*Bot trilogy. Also a great tourney game
After talking with Bobby from FarSight, Jeff is under the impression that they aren't going to do Jack*Bot, maybe (this is speculation of others) 'cause it has the same playfield as Pin*Bot and might be perceived by some to be too similar. So I just wanted to add my support for the table here: they definitely *should* finish the trilogy with this last, very impressive piece, and heck, it'll be relatively easy for them to produce since most of the modelling work is already done from Pin*Bot! But Jack*Bot's unique rule set looks amazing and I so want it in Pinball Arcade so I can have a chance to dig into it; I've tried it in real life but had no idea what to do and didn't get far on my quarters.
And the NW Pinball Championship's tournament video of it linked up above is so spectacular it just deserves being embedded too:

saying Jack*Bot is like Pin*Bot is like saying the automobile is just like a horse and buggy.
The playfield is very similar, but the game's rules are completely different and this game plays very differently from pinbot. I'd rather have this sooner than later.
It's not a lot like it... it's exactly like it, with one very small difference. I think the game is tons and tons of fun, if a bit easy. Much easier than Pin*Bot. The saucer is the key shot. It spins a DMD slot machine and gives awards, including lots of EBs (which is what makes the game a bit easy) and Specials. The "wizard mode" is Casino Run, which is a timed mode that lets you gamble that you'll make shots before the timer runs out or until you hit a "bomb".
It seems likely that it will eventually be on TPA, because it's an unlicensed table from WMS's golden era. Main problem: it wasn't very popular. I believe players felt the playfield-copied-from-Pin*Bot made the game not original enough, even though it's really a completely different game because of the rules.
