More Keith Elwin clinic on Indy 500 (tho he came up short) and now Card Whiz. Fantastic! I just wish there was somewhere I could see the brackets.

Okay now we're talking! The bank they're playing now includes The Addams Family, Wizard, Dr. Dude, and Eight Ball Deluxe - tables that have TPA written all over them! They've switched to coverage of the "B" and "C" flights so the games aren't epics, but it's nice to see the gameplay and hear Bowen explain what it takes to be a super dude!

I'm hoping to see Elwin and some of the other sharpies tackle these tables...

is there any way to find out what's going on?

who is playing, and who goes through to play who?
and when is the proper final final of the A division, and who's in it?

"The center drain is pretty small on this table, so you don't see many balls go down the middle." - Bowen Kerins, referring to...
...DR. DUDE!!

Meanwhile Keith Elwin scored ten times higher than every other competitor on Dr. Dude and clinched Pinburgh 2013 before the last game even began. They're playing Eight Ball Deluxe at this point for second place.

I had to work today! Blah! So I missed it. Anyone know where it may be archived? I tried Geek Gamer's website but couldn't find anything.

Chase Nunes in the wrap-up promised he would be going thru the tapes "over the next few weeks" to edit them into chunks that will then be posted both at his site and at PAPA. The broadcast went over great and they'll be doing more of them for sure, so it was a great week for Chase Nunes and GeekGamer, and as a topper, Nunes took first place in the "C" flight for fifteen hundred smackers! Way to go!!

As good as the broadcast was, however, a few tweaks would make it perfect. For one thing, they should put a shotgun mike on the table. As it was almost no sound from the game could be heard, but it would be a simple matter to mix the game audio into the commentary and it would make for a vastly more professional and informative presentation that more closely approaches the instructional videos they're already doing.

The other thing that would improve things is to make a much fuller accommodation for the film crew. PAPA should BEND OVER BACKWARDS to make it easy to film, especially the finals of the A division. With just a bit more planning the player camera could be moved for each machine, which would greatly improve the quality of the broadcast. Would CBS broadcast a tennis tourney using one stationary camera to cover four courts?

This was our first-ever attempt at livestreaming coverage of pinball. The specific idea you refer to was not possible due to the limiting length of HDMI cables, with an HDMI feed required from the stationary camera to the mixing computer.

I can assure you that PAPA bent over backwards to make this happen, because I spent over 24 hours myself over three days helping to make it happen, and I wasn't the only one; we also paid a large amount to ship the equipment used in the livestream. I don't want to discount Chase's amazing work, which was terrific.

I feel that for a first attempt, it was quite good, and we've heard from people who watched the entire thing and had a great time. There's always improvements to make, and the next time will be significantly more impressive.

I'm just over three hours in watching the archived footage. Bowen did a great job with the commentary and keeping things entertaining during the down time in between matches. Quite honestly pretty much everyone whose gotten a hold of a head set so far has had interesting things to say. Good job guys.

I loved it and had it running on my iPad all day. Sure there were some technical limitation, but that's to be expected, especially for a first time effort. I really hope to see more of these as its a great way to learn how to play the featured tables. Thx to everyone involved in putting it together. I'm sure it was a lot of work!

Thanks for you comment, Bowen. I wasn't able to watch the Pinburgh footage yet, but I watched a good portion of the archives of the circuit final, and you and the team did a fantastic job. Very professional, and a great step for pinball. Much appreciated and keep it up! I've been watching the PAPA videos since the very first one hit the blog, and the leaps and bounds made since then (which were great to begin with) are truly incredible.

I really enjoyed it as well. I watched it for about four hours. I really hope we will see more great pinball. I think for their first time, they did a great job. Thanks for your hard work.
