One thing's for sure: the tables you've purchased aren't going anywhere. So leave the collection alone for a bit.

Go play "The Last Of Us" to death. Have fun.

We'll see you back again soon ;-)

Also, "Loose laces lose races".

I went through this with playing Guitar Hero / Rock Band / DJ Hero. I'd play everyday, couldn't get enough. If I started getting bored, I'd switch instruments. I welcomed the constant GH releases as I wasn't buying any DLC, and discovering a group of online buddies to play with totally extended my game play interest. And then came the fall. Everyone jumped ship and soon finding online players was a chore. Other games starting getting my interest, and I realized I was kinda out of the loop on what to play since I'd been so absorbed by this one genre.

The same thing has essentially happened with TPA for me. The honeymoon is over, and there's this backlog of games I realize I completely missed. Good news is, they're all cheap now!

If there's one thing Rock Band taught me though, it's that coming back to it is soooooo satisfying. The game you love is still there. Your skills may be rusty, but that just adds to the fun of picking it up again. If and when TPA finally gets real online game play, ie head to head, I think it's going to reignite a lot of peoples passions all over again. In the meantime, don't feel bad about stepping away for a little while to play something else. I'm currently playing Last of Us, I just got a PS+ membership which means I've got a whole slew of other games to try, and I just got Red Dead Redemption as a gift. I still need my pinball fix, just not daily for hours on end.

I played the heck out of TPA when I first found it. It was relatively cheap, there were so many tables, and I could play anywhere I could take my iPad (you figure it out...). But, I gradually slowed my pace. I think it's that way with anything new. When I first got my drivers license, I was willing to take anybody anywhere, now it's almost a chore to drive. Same way with my riding lawnmower, my computer, chainsaw, my CD player. It's a natural thing to lose interest in your latest toy. Because if you didn't, it would put TV salespeople out of a job.
