Maximum Extraballs?

Does anyone know the maximum limit for Extraballs? I've stacked 4 EBs multiple times and lost all in the next ball. Is there a limit per game, a limit per ball or how does it work?

How do you even get multiple EBs? Warp EB only happens once. Does Vengeance Scoring EB repeat? Relying on random Black Hole EB doesn't seem practical.

Yes, Vengeance Scoring EB repeats. I've started a few games and play for Vengeance and Warp only until I have 4 EBs. After that I start and play the Missions. After a few balls where I always get another EB per ball the game continues with Ball 2. There must be a limitation...
