I'd like to get an arcade stick, drill 2 holes in it, 1 in each side, and re route the L1 /R1 buttons accordingly.

Has anyone had any experience doing something like this? I know making one from scratch is an option, but I arn't to smart, and this to me sounds doable.

You do know you can buy sticks with pinball buttons already on the sides, right? Just asking since you said you haven’t bought one yet.

There may be others, but here's the one I have that actually has 4 pinball buttons (I use 2 for flippers and then the other 2 for nudging)...It's also about the same width as a pinball machine, so it works great for homemade cabs:

EDIT:

The also have this one with single pinball buttons, but I'd go for the double since it's so much better for nudging:

I hadn't see that one, it looks pretty cool. I'd have to import it though, something to think about, thanks for finding it.

Thanks for the links. I might go for that one, although I can't seem to find anywhere that will supply the PS4 adapter, even on the european resellers websites.

Btw while i haventrecived it yet i recently got a venom stick for60 quid from argos your intial plan would be an easy mod if you can solder a couple of wires and use a dremel, but i suspect ill replace the buttons reviews say they are pretty decent for the price but no sanwa

Edit- aa simple switch could set its state so you can have side buttons and the og layout too

The only issue I have with the viper sticks i've seen, is that on one side it has a compartment to hold the usb cable which may get in the way of adding a button to it.

I've gone and ordered a Mayflash 300 stick and some extra buttons, once it arrives i'm going to set a stop watch and see how long it takes me to break it.

Would be nice if they had gyros / accelerometers etc. so you could actually nudge the "normal" way...
