NA Vita Update Failing

Hi folks;

Any other NA Vita owners having trouble downloading the update? It'll get to 100%, and then give me a "Could not download update" error. I've attempted this on three different wifi connections now. Any ideas?

Not in NA i had no problem's it also show's season 5 but there are no table's

Yep just tried it and same for me. Downloads 100% then says it failed and throws an error code

Me too. update is not working to download the tables.

Tried it about 20 more times. Update errors out, but the game can't be played without downloading the update.

Have you tried removing and re-installing the base game? It probably shouldn't affect scores...

Do you get a lot of lag when scrolling through the tables on the vita. A friend of mine is saying it's an issue.

You mean after this update? I couldn't say since it can't be played at all due to the update.
I haven't tried removing and reinstalling it all. Honestly if I remove it again I doubt I'll ever put it back on.

I'm trying to figure out what bugs were fixed.

Challenge mode. Cool.
Season 4 tables. Cool.
Bugs fixed? Haven't noticed any major bugs that have been fixed.
Portrait controls? Still a no-go.

Is anyone at Farsight aware of this? Flippy ....can you shed some light on what has gone wrong with the update? Has anyone on the Vita have the update work and are playing all the latest season 4 tables?

For me at least I can play all the tables before the update. The update downloads and then gives the error code indicating it is unable to download if that makes any sense. The update was supposed to allow us to download Cyclone, Safecracker, Jackbot, Red and Ted etc.....but it fails in that category.

Which error code is this?
I am currently downloading a system update, but the Pinball Arcade update seems to have downloaded fine for me.

Like I said, it'll download to 100%, and then fail out with this code and an error message of "Could Not Download". I've read over at the Sony support boards that other users are getting this error as well, and for the most part, the Sony support people seem like they've never heard of it before. I have an update on the situation, sadly it isn't quite the good news I was hoping for.
After I escalated the issue, I received and e-mail from a "Senior Corporate Resolution Specialist" asking for some information which I send to him.
After that, I received and e-mail that my game had been refunded as a gesture of goodwill without any input from me as to what I wanted. Well, I appreciate it, but it wasn't my desired outcome, if I had wanted a refund instead of my game working, I would have accepted the refund offered to me before escalating the issue.
This game seems like it just isn't going to work out and will remain collecting dust, sorry Farsight Development team!
Perhaps in time it will fix itself, I'm definitley done with sony support though.

According to an obscure Sony support forum post, the issue is DNS related.

Yes, I've seen that myself... I've done a TON of research on this already. (Also, that post is 2-1/2 years old an from the European boards... It may not apply to present-day NA users). I've attempted on 3 different wifi connections, with all sorts of different NAT & DNS settings. No dice. I appreciate the thought, however.

Here's the problem that I'M having with the reply from Sony (that I linked above)... Like I said, it was advised that I delete TPA from my Vita entirely & start from scratch (which isn't a big deal... the last update we got before summer reset all of my high scores, anyway). And of course, it fails when I attempt to re-download it. I can't even access my old tables, and I had all of them. Since Sony's "big fix" is to refund people apparently, am I going to be refunded for ALL of the money that I've sank into TPA since day one?? Yes, I realize that this would be a question better suited for Sony themselves.

Try going to Settings> Network> Internet Connection Status and let me know what your NAT Type says.
